Democratic Rep. Kendrick Meek on Thursday denied reports that he agreed to drop out of the Florida Senate race under pressure from former President Bill Clinton.

Clinton last week while campaigning in Florida tried to talk Meek into quitting, and the congressman agreed twice to drop out and endorse independent candidate Gov. Charlie Crist, Clinton spokesman Matt McKenna confirmed to The Associated Press. The story was first reported by Politico.

Why when we need Reasonable good Reps in the House would you want Meek to quit so Crist can be in there?

1. Consider the source. Meek denies all of it ever happened. I will take him at his word.

Meek: Clinton didn't convince me to drop Sen. bid
By CHRISTINE ARMARIO , 10.28.10, 11:43 PM EDT

MIAMI -- Democratic Rep.

"The press report from Politico that is out there is inaccurate - at best," Meek said during a hastily called news conference in front of screaming supporters Thursday night. "President Clinton and I are good friends. He's continuing to be a supporter of this campaign. Any rumor or any statement by anyone that says that I made a decision to get out of the race is inaccurate."

8. Advice to step aside and "urging" are two very different things
And then there is this from your article...

Politico reported that Meek and Clinton spoke in Jacksonville, but Meek's campaign manager Abe Dyk but they were never together in that city last week. Clinton and Meek campaigned together Tuesday in St. Petersburg and Wednesday in Orlando.

``The article is not true,'' Dyk said in a statement. ``Kendrick Meek was never dropping out of this race, is never dropping out of this race, and will never drop out of this race. Kendrick Meek will always stand up for the middle class and will not leave Floridians a choice between two lifelong conservative Republicans who only stand with the special interests. Kendrick is the Democratic nominee so if anyone should drop out, it's Charlie Crist.''

14. Next we will be hearing of secret meetings between Sarah Palin & the WH on
Replacing Ken Salazar with her as Secretary of the Interior next year because Obama is scared of Palin in '12 and need to take her out of the picture.

4. That's why I brought this up. This makes no sense. Why would some
one write this... Makes me wonder if these types of articles are causing the "poor Democratic turn out".

12. Already thoroughly debunked in other threads...
I usually look to other posts before posting a huffpo po.

Honestly, I never ever post a huffpo po, don't even go there anymore.
