Crist is a weasel trying a hail Mary October surprise.
That's all that needs to be said. Crist is a self serving, manipulative, lying, craven, power-addicted, narcissistic jerk. And Florida Dems should be ashamed of themselves for entertaining thoughts of or actually sucking up to that rattlesnake.

all atwitter with some steaming pile of crap Crist lobbed out there that Bill Clinton tried to get Kendrick Meek to drop out of the race.

15. Because heterosexuals were never a persecuted, ostracized, reviled minority.
But you know that already. Bigot.

14. And he got married right after he was elected Governor and all the rumors
were coming out. I don't trust someone who is such a, as you said, weasel.

3. I completely agree
I do take take exception with your rather broad brush of Florida Democrats. I know a few who have already voted from Meek. I'm sure there are more.

But for those who plan to vote for Crist . . . . yeah. I totally agree with you.

4. Truth.
It is astounding that the morning media is trying to play this as a Dem scandal of some sort when it is an obvious ploy by Crist.

7. It's a nice back-door way to suppress the black vote in Florida as well -
think of the effect that a Meek drop-out would have on the psyche of the African-American voters. They'll feel totally disgusted and marginalized, and a certain number will decide it's not even worth making the trip to the polls.

Isn't the battle for governor a particularly close race? What would this do for the Democratic candidate's chances?

11. Crist is completely self-serving, and not to be trusted
by anyone in either party. When he was a Republican, he stabbed his party in the back on a regular basis. Dems would be foolish to trust him, hoping that by supporting him, they will be able to blunt Rubio's campaign. Meeks is the one who deserves the support of his party, not a turncoat who is only out for himself.

except the most craven effort to get elected.
