Sen. Barbara Boxer has widened her lead over Fiorina
"Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer has gradually widened her lead over Republican Carly Fiorina on the strength of increased support from women and independent voters, according to a new Field Poll.

The nonpartisan survey released shows Boxer with an 8-point advantage days before voters go to the polls on Tuesday.

'Part of it is the Democratic voters who were flirting with the idea of voting for change are moving back and coming home,' said Field Poll Director Mark DiCamillo.

Boxer leads 49 percent to 41 percent for Fiorina, with 6 percent undecided and 4 percent favoring other candidates."

1. I've said it before...Carly should be in jail instead of campaigning
for US Senate.

2. Despite the best efforts of the MSM - especially GMA on ABC this morning...
...Robin Roberts giving all sorts of time for a sympathetic portrait of Carly against a mean Barbara Boxer... followed by extensive coverage of the Joe Miller/Failin Palin 'rally' and then a sickening piece highlighting the 'agonizing choices' and the 'deep personal faith' in Lt Awol's new book..

ABC hit the trifecta of right-wing fluffing this morning...it was almost unbearable..

3. Boxer is not loved by the MSM
So tired of Fiorina's face, good news to see her going down.

17. LOL! Lt. Awol...
How could GMA ever even spin mean spirit when Fiorina came out swinging about Boxer's hairstyle - unbelievable tripe she calls campaigning.

5. If she loses on Tuesday, maybe Carly could put in an
application in one of the countries to which she shipped jobs from HP.

Very encouraging to see Barbara Boxer up this many points in the Field Poll, which is the cream of the crop in California. Boxer's detractors have always been mean-spirited sqauwkers but over some years now she has won the support of a lot of voters, and it looks as if they're going to turn out for her in convincing percentages.

Let's hope Boxer has a very good night this coming Tuesday and that the name of Carly Fiorina never again appears on a ballot in the United States.

11. I'm surprised by the Field Poll.
Late last month, they were certainly the outlier, insisting Brown and Whitman were in a dead heat when other polls showed Brown was at least 5 points ahead.

I can't switch Fiorina's ads off quick enough - so insincere, though I wish her a speedy and complete recovery.

20. Yes -- the Field Poll comes as a bit of a surprise when
the numbers had been different earlier... and other polling had enough different results to suggest that something just wasn't right.

If these numbers hold, it wiill be a good night for a lot of good reasons.

It does look like Fiorina has repelled a certain key percentage of voters who see a lot of good in Boxer and see no reason to fire her.

6. Polls starting to tell the truth right before election day.
Trying to make it look like haven't been lying all along.

I saw a guy on TV a month ago saying things would get better for the GOP as we got closer to election day. It always runs against the President's party that way in midterm elections, he said. Doesn't seem to be working out that way, does it?

12. That's exactly what I'm thinking!
Especially the Field Poll, lying all September long about Brown vs. Whitman.

15. Besides the love of power
I honestly think she and Whitman entered the races because they have absolutely nothing better to do with their lives.

21. Interesting theory that whatever Meg Whitman has is contagious.
How much better would Carly have run without the Megster? Dunno. At any rate, Barbara Boxer has been an excellent Senator. I believe I have voted for her every time she has run for the Senate.....

But I really think each is uniquely unfit in their own special way.
