Rubio camp furiously trying to quash speculation that Crist would beat Rubio if Meek exits race.
Public Policy Polling, October 12:

When the matchup is limited to Rubio and Crist, however, the two are knotted at 46% each.

George Bennett at the Palm Beach Post is reporting:

October 28, 2010

Internal tracking by Republican Marco Rubio’s campaign shows Democrat Kendrick Meek and independent Charlie Crist “in a statistical dead heat,” Rubio consultant Todd Harris said tonight in trying to knock down speculation that Crist can beat Rubio if Meek drops out.

Among those who have already voted, Harris said, the Rubio campaign’s in-house polling shows Meek with a 28-to-24 percent lead over Crist.

.....

Boy, you guys have some kind of internal polling.

Pathetic.

Quinnipiac, October 28: Crist cuts Rubio's 14-point lead to seven.

Zogby, October 25: Six points between Crist and Rubio

A Crist/Rubio matchup is the death knell for the Rubio camp and no amount of spin and obfuscation by Jeb Bush operative Todd Harris trying to protect Jeb's Chosen One will hide it.

It ain't over yet, boys.

3. They are both cretins
Crist is just a better liar.

Meek is the only Liberal. Just because he's black he's being excluded.

4. Even if Meek (or Crist) backs out, their names are still on the ballot, right?
Won't a lot of their supporters vote for the dropout anyway?

5. All names will remain on the ballot.
Whether voters will realize the magnitude of threat that Rubio poses and vote for the strongest candidate to defeat him, will be apparent soon.

6. Many people will vote straight Democratic, and if Meek has dropped
out, then Crist loses.

It would be better if Crist drops out, because nobody will vote "straight independent."

7. BUT, Many, Many Democrats Have Already Voted For Crist... I KNOW
this "personally' even if Meek has also gotten votes too. Crist is a name heard in a lot of Democratic circles and perhaps, just perhaps Jebby should be worried.

I mean Lawton Chiles DID beat Jebby once! Sure, it was back then, but so many Democrats really hate Jebby so much that they are willing to do ANYTHING to keep Jebby from using Rubio as a stepping stone into the WH!

It's not a far-fetched idea that this is EXACTLY what Jebby's intentions are! WE JUST NEED TO STOP RUBIO! This is ONE race that I have a fierce fervent FEAR of! Even more so than Nevada, because even if Reid loses, ANGLE doesn't have the clout, nor do I think she will ever have the clout that Jebby does!

Think long and hard, or at least THINK! And Meek's numbers at last count are at 15%! Rubio's internals must be way off, or of course it's the same old thing... LYING!
