issues for you? No. You may not choose both. It's one or the other, dammit!

So, to understand what I'm babbling about, you have to go check out the screen shots I took during a survey I was attempting to complete a week or so ago:

Click the Older arrow to see the related photo, showing the previous part of the survey.

I'm probably not supposed to share this info, but f*&k it. It's too weird for my stress ravaged brain to make sense of.

I am very curious about your thoughts on this, fellow DUers. Especially on the Rachel section.

Edited to embed the photos, but once I got here I couldn't remember how to do that. Sorry! I'm sleep deprived and stupid.

1. Link didn't work for me but I'll answer. If I get one answer for each question,
She makes the news more enjoyable and she helps clarify the issues for me.

I've commented several times that she helps me understand issues better than any other source.

4. I agree. She's my idol. Which is why I'm so curious about this survey business. I've come across
quite a few unanswerable questions in surveys, but none that I really cared much about. But when it comes to Rachel, I want to know what their angle is.

9. I'm assuming from your response that Rachel didn't fare too well on a survey?
(Link didn't work for me). It must be who is responding. The WH thinks she carries enough weight that they included her in that meeting a while back.

12. Well, I was actually taking the survey and was quite perplexed by the section in which I was to
choose the one of paired statements that better describes me.

In addition to the two pairs in my OP, there were eight more pairs. Here's another "Comes across as authentic" vs. "Is unique." I think both of those statements are equally true and couldn't choose one over the other. I want to know why the particular statements were paired as they were. I'm just intrigued and really would like to know how and why the survey was created, and any other related insights.

5. She and her staff do their research and she is the clearest commentator
on cable or anywhere else.

She rates 6 stars from me. (That's out of 5!)

7. She amazes me with her cool, calm, and collected manner. My blithering idiot side always comes out
when faced with the likes of Christine O'Donnell and her Teaper buddies. I can't take the stress.

I attended the RMS taping in Newark, DE, recently and, although I didn't think it was possible, my respect and admiration for her became stronger.

Check out my pix if you like: http://www.flickr.com/photos/libby_colbert/with/5125884727/

6. I, for one more, do too! I just tested the link and it works. Try again, because I also have
pix I took at the RMS taping at the Deer Park in Newark, DE, recently. You can get a little peek behind the scenes. Try this link:

8. Neat pictures -- thanks!
And here I am, responding over God-knows-how-many circuits and switches from hundreds of miles away over the Intertube machine to someone who was RIGHT THERE IN THE SAME ROOM with Rachel Maddow during the broadcast of her show THAT I ACTUALLY SAW!

I feel curiously connected to it all now...:hi:

11. Hahaha, I know exactly whatcha mean, Bunny! Now that your eyes have scanned the multitudinous
mega-pixels I captured in the presence of the distinguished Ms. Maddow & Co, I suddenly can't imagine why you aren't in the photos! It just doesn't seem right somehow. :fistbump:

10. Great pix! And I'll try the link again. I think so much of her that when she
was talking about flying to Alaska when she went, that you fly all the way to Seattle, then get on another flight to AK that's 3 more hours! I thought -- damn! I would have even gone to Sea-Tac to just to see her get off of one plane and on to another and shouted "We love you, Rachel!"

13. I can relate. She is a political rock star! I was overwhelmed to be in the same room with her. I get
more than a little claustrophobic in tight crowds and that room was packed with people, not all of whom were on their best behavior as a result of the "I want to get my mug on the screen at any cost to my dignity" impulse.

Of course, I wanted to be on-screen too--in the shot with Rachel. I couldn't tell at the time if or when I was on camera, so it was kind of surreal watching the DVRed show later and seeing myself quite often, looking slightly spooked and claustrophobic, not too far behind Rachel.

I just realized--I can grab a screen-shot and have a picture of Rachel and me together. I can just pretend she knows I'm there!

14. I wonder how large of a staff she has including researchers and writers. There is definitely a lot
of prep required to put on such a high quality program.
