Charlie Crist should drop out and urge his backers to support Meek
Edited on Fri Oct-29-10 07:43 PM by panader0
Just sayin'. This three=way fubar thing in Fla is just wrong. Meeks is a Democrat. Crist is the Lieberman of the repubs. Crist should drop out. Bill Clinton has muddled this I think.

1. It's a little late for that, I think.
Voting has already started.

It's going to play out just the way it is. There's no going back now.

19. Agree, and Crist has lots of nerve as he has still NOT said who he'll caucus with!
Of course it is too late for either to get out...and Crist's continuous rumors of meeting with Meek, to drop out...then to report Meek did not show up...it was all lies. Crist did this to break the confidence of voters....a real dirty trick. Then Bill comes...twice and says to vote for Meek...just last week! Screw Clinton...he's using an "aide" to leak lies...and that is despicable!

When Clinton lies...everyone gets hurt! Im sick of it. He acted like a jackass out on the campaign trail for Hillary and all thought he was maybe just getting old. But noooooooo, he's back...better than ever.

STAY THE FUCK OUT OF FLORIDA!! EVEN THOUGH ITS TOO LATE NOW....REMEMBER THIS!

And as far as the whole world crumbling if Rubio gets elected, what about the 4 DINOS that voted against the jobs bill!!!!! To stop outsourcing. Let's worry about them!

2. Perhaps you should concentrate on the nightmare you have in AZ
and leave us Floridians to our own decisions. Bill Clinton had little to nothing to do with this, Meek was a poor candidate, Crist can beat Rubio....

22. He was only poor
because our beloved democratic party here in Florida decided to starve him out early and support Crist, and yes, this includes the Pumas who wanted a pound of flesh for Obama in 2008.

He is only poor because our democrats here are Dinos.

9. Meek is a Democrat like Gore.
Crist is the Third Party Nader simulacrum. Deal with it. Meek= Gore. Crist= Nader. Meek= Democratic Nominee. Crist= Recent Republican Reject Party.

10. Exactly backward. Nader, the 3rd party should have withdrawn, as Crist the Craven 3rd party should
withdraw now. Or should have WEEKS ago.

7. That is what my mom would say.
This woman taught me well, then side-tracked and voted for Bush II. TWICE. Then she found out about the torture and now adores Obama. This is a good woman, so when she tells me Meeks is an awesome candidate, I'm going to listen. After years of heartache and pain, I've learned to respect my mother. She is more 'up' on things than I am these days. Sadly, it took her having cancer to realize the important things in life, and this sweet lady does not have long on his earth. The Republicans want to ensure people like her do not get adequate healthcare and they do not want women to be screened for breast cancer at a reasonable cost. You know what? This is where I revolt. This is where all my anger and hatred of injustice manifest.

14. I am sorry to hear about your mother.
You're right, being sick does change a person. I lost my mother a little over two years ago and still hear her good sense running through my head at times.

We don't have real healthcare until every last one of us has it, period. Medicare for all.

11. I think its a fraud.
Crist is doing his job splitting the vote and getting Rubio in. He will then go on to a lucrative position with a lobbying or think tank organization. Wake up. All of these are jsut actors on the stage. The real power is behind them.

25. Exactly! And it will be the compromising Democrats willing to vote for a Republican
With an "I" behind his name that will have given Rubio the seat. If Democrats had gotten behind the best candidate, Meek, I believe he could have won. As it is, Meek had to hold back on advertising until the very end and does not have enough money to fight Rubio, Crist AND Democrats ready to throw him under the bus.

Crist never had any intention of working with Democrats even if he got in. He just wanted to take the moderate vote away from the Democratic candidate and set himself up for more name recognition and a new job.

Unfortunately it looks as if Rubio is going to take this no matter which way the pro-Crist people spin it.

31. He stood as much of a chance as Crist of beating Rubio.
Maybe a better chance if we didn't always have people deciding to back the most conservative candidate whenever that is the choice.

The strategy to support a Republican isn't working. So I guess Crist never stood a chance either. Unless someone actually believed that most Democrats would really be willing to vote for a Republican. That was fantasy thinking. The geniuses who are in charge of these things in this party are responsible for Meek never standing a chance. They definitely made sure a Dem couldn't win this race by splitting the Dem Vote, instead of the Republican vote.

27. Crist hasn't been polling 3rd the entire race. In a two-way race with Rubio, Crist is tied.
Meek still loses even if Crist drops out.

There is no realistic path to victory for Meek. There never was.

29. Meek is too far behind to win, even if Crist drops out.
At this point, it doesn't matter. Meek's decision means victory for soon-to-be senator-elect Rubio. One more wingnut in Washington.
