People should be asking if they want Miller and his underhanded tricks to represent them.

'Operation Alaska Chaos': Right-Wingers Pushed Flood Of AK-SEN Write-In Candidates

The flood of write-in candidates in the Alaska Senate race was pushed by Big Government's Dan Riehl and the conservative group Conservatives 4 Palin in an attempt to hurt Sen. Lisa Murkowski's own write-in campaign and give Republican nominee (and tea party favorite) Joe Miller a boost.

Beginning on Riehl's Big Government blog and dubbed "Operation Alaska Chaos" by C4P, Miller supporters were encouraged to file as write-in candidates so Murkowski's name would be buried on the official list of candidates. It worked.

Now I believe in fair elections. I believe EVERY viable candidate should have an equal square chance. I don't agree with Murkowski's view but I know she in her way is trying to do what is best for the citizens of Alaska unlike Joe Miller who only cares about himself.

These tactics are underhanded and low.

1. I thought it was clever and amusing
It doesn't help or hurt Scott McAdams. If it was done to help Scott, DU would be praising this.

2. Some will praise this and perhaps it is wrong of me but I expect better
from those trying to get elected.

We should be demanding better of our politicians.

Besides if they do this... what's to keep this from being done someday in which it will hurt a Democratic candidate?

3. Murkowski stinks in this, too.
She used the courts to change the rules at the last minute. Also, her campaign has been handing out and mailing bracelets with her name on them. Her campaign manager said it will be cold on election day and people will be wearing jackets to hide the bracelets. They are encouraging her voters to break the law.

Who knows, maybe all this sleaze by the republicans will help us.

4. True... But you can make the case that the 2 party system does not
Fairly allow all possible and viable candidates and People have an equal say in the election process.

But you do have a legit point.
