I live in a predominantly red area in far NW suburban Chicago and ride the train to work. My normal Saturday commute involves an ipod and a nap but today's train had a whole different vibe and energy. The front of the car was filled with liberals and progressives headed to two downtown rallys. They had buttons, signs and a whole lot of enthusiasm. We discussed candidates, issues and the overall condition of our money-bloated political system.

What a great way to start the day! When work is over I will head over to Grant Park to join the fun. Wish I could also go to the GOTV rally President Obama is speaking at this afternoon in Hyde Park. Thanks to Ms. Marti for the group photo and thanks to Ms. Coventry for the Obama GOTV pin.
