CNN Reporters Completely Baffled By Rally To Restore Fear And/Or Sanity
Edited on Sat Oct-30-10 12:50 PM by Contrary1

"Covering a mock event featuring crowds estimated in the billions must be disorienting for agencies dedicated to hard news. There was never quite a stated purpose for the rally other than to “restore sanity,” and it wasn’t exactly clear what would happen there. So it’s very hard to blame CNN’s T.J. Holmes and Kate Baldwin for not exactly knowing what they are getting themselves into.

“Washington D.C. is gearing up for… something right now,” Holmes explained as he introduced Baldwin, who was on the ground in Washington. His question for her: “What is this thing?” She didn’t seem to be quite satisfied with the answers she managed to find by wading the crowd, including one rallygoer from Providence, Rhode Island wearing suspicious sunglasses who boldly declared that he was “here today for the sole fact of people just need to calm down about the issues… be sane about it.”

As the rally continues and its actual purpose begins to reveal itself to those watching and, perhaps, even to those who organized it, we can expect much more confident reporting. For now, it’s worth enjoying just how confused Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert seem to have made most mass media outlets with their gigantic gathering of people for sanity. Or fear.

7. Well you have to understand, this isn't an M$M endorsed event.
It doesn't have Karl Roves dirty hands all in it nor does it carry idiot/crazy people in it with gunsgunsguns! slung all around their penis. The M$M is incapable of reporting the HARD truths that a COMEDIAN HAS TO DO, for the sake of America! I wouldn't put to much stock in CNN or any other 'pay for' news organization. They all are intent on destroying America with the help of the GOP. A rally like Jon Stewart's is beyond their simplistic understanding of life in corporate America.

Glenn Beck = easy for the M$M to report on, because Glenn is ONE OF THEM. Jon and Steven are WAY OUT of bounds, since they report (through the use of COMEDY) actual HARD NEWS.

That is how SAD AMERICAN journalism is in this country - 'real' news organizations are lost to the TRUTH in reporting and COMEDIANS feel duty bound to try and keep America on the path of truth and justice.

SAD, PATHETIC, WRONG.

11. People are confused by a request for moderation. But do you really know what any rally is about
before it happens? The Million-(Whatever) March, calling for recognition of the problems of (Whatever). The Sanity Rally -- calling for a restoration of sanity in public discourse. Perhaps what's most confusing is whether or not there was any sanity to begin with.
