One Criticism of Rally: Keith/Ed Don't Belong Next to Beck, etc.

The only thing that bothered me watching the rally was that Keith and Ed were lumped in with the likes of Beck, O'Reilly, etc. Yes, they get wound up BUT they are getting the truth out rather than blatant lies and paid pimping for a political party. People should not be told, in essence, not to watch them because they are just "one of the lying" media. Thank God for the voices of these people (and Rachel)or I truly think we would not have had the election results we had in 2008. Ohhh, while I have you on the line (speaking of media pimps)..what the hell is that CNN ticker screaming about a surge in the polls for O'Donnell in Delaware (no reference to which poll---are we to believe she has gained 20 points overnight?).

At least Rachel doesn't need to yell or make outrageous proclamations like Olbermann to get her point across.

That Beck and his gang are big liars and make stuff up. Keith , Ed and Rachel report the facts, yes they give their opinions, but they never report things that are false.

talking about his goon stomping on a woman's head. What's wrong with calling it like it is? There haven't been once case of a man on the left stomping on a republican woman's head.

if the point is that the nightly news has gone from "pure" news. The who, what, where, when ,why to more opinion base news shows.

Clearly the kinds of opinion shows out there aren't all the same. On Faux opinion news the facts are often not even the starting point of opinion conversation. On faux at least they tend to create their own fact then generate an opinion based on it. Keith and Ed pretty much never do this.

But yes there is way too much opinion based news oriented news broadcasting on what are suppose to be news channels. This clearly hurts the ability of Americans to simply learn the basic who, what, where, why and when of actual news. OF course one might point out Americans tend not to watch those kind of broadcasts when given the chance to watch them :)

However the way the message was presented by J Stew certainly left a mixed interpretation of what that he really meant.

21. I Really Like KO, Ed, Rachel And The Rest At MSNBC, But I Feel It

wasn't so much anything against any of them. I think he was trying to make the point that for the most part MSM feeds too much propaganda. I think he used clips that showed something on both sides, and I don't think anyone can deny that some very strong opinions come from all.

I am in agreement that KO and others DON'T really belong along side of the wackos regarding what they are saying, but I feel Jon's point was that we ALL need to come together for this country.

Those on MSNBC are the only ones we have as opposed to ALL the shows and radio commentary from the other side. I don't think he wanted to be too one sided and I feel his message was "this is America and we need to find some way to get along."

I do feel what he did today was superb, regardless. It was very moving and I loved that he was trying to convey how polarized we've become. True, the wackos are way out there, but they are the one's gaining ALL THE GROUND these days.

It does show how you can take something out of context and make it look to be what it wasn't. I thought it was too far a stretch to make a point.
