GOP's job killing slogan..."That Train is Dead"
Republicans who were elected on Tuesday are beginning to deliver on their campaign promises to kill America’s future. Within hours of declaring victory, the incoming tea-party governors of Wisconsin and Ohio stood fast on pledges to kill $1.2 billion in funding for high-speed rail in their states. The funding, part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, will revert to the federal government for investment in other states — unless Republicans in Congress are able to kill that, too. Walker warned he would fight President Obama to keep the Milwaukee-Madison link killed “if he tries to force this down the throats of the taxpayers.” Kasich — who called the high-speed rail project linking Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati “one of the dumbest ideas” he’s ever heard — used his victory speech to announce, “That train is dead“:

Scott Walker, the incoming governor of Wisconsin, for instance, vowed on Wednesday to carry out a campaign pledge to kill a proposed high-speed rail link between Milwaukee and Madison, part of a larger project to create a high-speed rail corridor across the upper Midwest, from Minneapolis to Chicago. The project was to be fully paid for with $810 million in federal stimulus funds. Mr. Walker said he wanted the money spent on roads, although under the terms of the grants, such a use of the funds is prohibited.

The newly elected Republican governor of Ohio, John Kasich, who ousted Ted Strickland, a Democrat, has also reiterated a campaign pledge to kill a $400 million stimulus-funded rail project in his state. “Passenger rail is not in Ohio’s future,” Mr. Kasich said at his first news conference after the election. “That train is dead.”

In addition to their ideological opposition to creating new jobs through government investment, both Walker and Kasich question the reality of climate science, like other new Republican governors threatening clean energy projects across the nation.

1. Well...
I am sure there are other states that would take some of that money, so to HELL with the right wingers who seem to want to watch their state go deeper and deeper in the hole simply so republicans can try and use higher unemployment rates against the president!

2. I loathe Kasich
I don't see how sane people could vote for him, regardless of liberal/conservative views

11. People voted for Reagan and Bush II. Twice.
The "'druther have a BEER with 'em" bunch voted Bush II AFTER they experienced the Reagan shitstorm that torched manufacturing, the auto industry, ATCs, the financial world, etc. TWICE.

M$Greedia has successfully injected extreme hatred of all things Democratic to the American public. They paint us as sissies and it works. They paint taxation as "theft at gunpoint" rather than social responsibility and it works. Corporations are now the good guys and unions are a corrupt flock of thievin' magpies. They sell Republicans as responsible, fiscally intelligent and powerful leaders and the public BUYS it.

Perfect example - CNBC on Friday shamelessly and brazenly had a segment on the Failure Fratster, PRAISING him for "Saving the Economy" thanks to TARP. Utterly fucking amazing. It's like they congratulated the arsonist for putting out the fires he started. Not only that, but they had interview segments with Matt Lauer . . . I BS you not, Bewsh sounded like he just came out of a swimming pool filled with Jim Beam. BOHner didn't even slur and randomly voluminize words as bad as that obviously drunk bastard did.

The agitprop-poisoned media is a serious problem that, unfortunately, is never going to be solved as long as you have greater than a third of the population who for some idiotic reason still think it's "Lib'rul!" and will tune in lovingly like good bitchdogs.

The people got the government they deserved, not the government they needed.

9. Graph Of Republican 70 Year Record Of Crushing Job Creation
Job Growth
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_mHSyEv8vBt4/S6Zvl-nui8I/AAAAAAAAACQ/3j0wUSj78mk/s640/Job+growth+graph.jpg?
Many Americans are aware that George W. Bush has had the worst job creation record since the government began tracking these figures in 1939. But Bush's colossal failure to manage the economy overshadows a much larger story.

The record shows two unmistakable patterns:
Every time a Republican succeeds a Democrat in the White House, the job creation rate plummets.
Every time a Democrat succeeds a Republican in the White House, the job growth rate soars. Every time! No exceptions!

Considering the steady growth in population of the United States during this time frame the job creation rate should steadily increase each month (currently it must grow by 138,000 per month to keep up with population growth). This trend only manifests itself when examining Democratic administrations:

Listed below is the average job growth increase for all terms served:
