GOP Can't Wait to Start Dismantling Social Security. Obama Doesn't Seem to Care.
If anyone is still supporting this payroll tax cut nonsense and how everything will be hunky dory because Obama will replace lost Social Security revenue with general funds, please read this:

http://blog.american.com/?p=23800

The right wing American Enterprise Institute is practically dancing for joy that they can now use deficit financing of Social Security to being to undermine it. Disgusting.

Please write to your Senators and Congressionals Reps. today: http://capwiz.com/ncpssm2/issues/alert/?alertid=20648111

1. Well, if it makes sense pragmatically....
from a conservative point of view, and it helps to balance the budget, what is wrong with that? :sarcasm:

2. What;'s the big deal?
They are only trying to "fix" what is "wrong" with America! Just consider the poor, elderly, disabled and disenfranchised to be the gangrenous leg that needs to be amputated to "save" the patient and you will "get it". Beggars in the street will be commonplace in five years.

3. Stop this crap. Obama definitely cares.
In fact, he single-handedly created the "Deficit Commission" to attack Social Security, and has been publicly parroting the fringe-right lie that Social Security was not originally intended for retirees.

4. +1
many democrats vow to protect Social Security. Obama isn't one of them. Whenever he mentions SS, it seems to be as something that needs to be cut. And if his opening position is "cut," then at the end of the negotiations, Social Security will be gone as we know it.
