1. Oh, hell........
of course. What is wrong with these people?

It's ok to privatize everything, including the army, but not to pay people at the bottom enough to exist on?

Christ on toast points.

3. Wow
What happened to the ammendments? How many stuck? We need a list of poison pills. How poison and how many? Apparently Kennedy's question "How much greed?" now has an answer.

4. So when do they vote on the bill itself?
Cloture just stops debate. Did they move the bill out after that or give it a delay until tomorrow?

6. That's what I'm worried about...
Too few in oposition. The Publicans were fighting way too hard for tax cuts for me to think that this got through clean.

11. This is ridiculous, I'm a pretty moderate Democrat and I wouldn't think twice about

supporting raising the minimum wage to $7.25. There isn't any need for the tax breaks either, so what if I and everyone else have to pay $155 instead of $150 for a hotel room, or $5.65 instead of $5.25 for our combo meal, and other services and goods which rely heavily on minimum wage workers. Most people won't mind, because they know why it is there, and the ones who bitch about it will eventually stop bitching, but they are going to pay it while they are bitching. These 8 are just way off the chart.
