Plain Dealer LTTEs: Just when you think the slobberers have raised (or lowered) the stupid bar . . .
. . . along come Cathy Conroy and Mark Otterson (from MY city, nonetheless!), 28%ers to the core and prooouuud! of it, to just kick that sucker UP about three notches. It's astonishing. I mean, there's even a heading for their idiocy on display:

Media foil President Bush's efforts in Iraq

Seriously, this isn't for the weak. If you had any breakfast containing animal fat, you might want to reconsider reading this. May induce full-on vomiting.

<snip>

Why is it that I under stand what President Bush is trying to do in Iraq, yet I feel like I am the only one? It makes so much sense to me that we need to increase our forces in Baghdad. It also makes sense to me that the enemy made changes in 2006 to counter our efforts.

Why do people think we can just pick up our marbles, go home and our enemies will just go back to their homes and be nice? They are after us. They truly believe in their cause.

Here's the other one. It gets more sickening when you realize these people aren't being funny or even sarcastic.

The right thing is not always popular, and the popular thing is not always right. Sen. Sherrod Brown called President Bush stubborn because he has steadfastly refused to back down in the war on terror, despite public opinion polls.

This would be a good time for our esteemed elected officials to set aside their precious opinion polls for a while. We need more statesmen like Sen. Joe Lieberman who aren't afraid to take a stand in the face of stiff opposition.

Damn. What must it be like to be a 28%er? How are these people walking upright?

Is it safe to officially lump Iraq bungle deniers with those that think Global Warming is a hoax and the Holocaust never happened? Is it safe now?

3. Poor widdow Joshie
To paraphrase someone over on youtube, if you show up to counter protest with a bullhorn and shout insults at marchers who pass by, you got to expect that it will piss some of them off.

This guy seems to think he gets a free ride and has the right to be an ass since he lost his leg in Iraq. And I guess he thinks he has the right to lie as well. :eyes:

4. Having been dealing with the 28% and worse the ones that have since realized that the pukes fooled
them all I can say is this isn't that bad as far as whats being said out there. Some people just can't believe that the people they voted for would lie to them the faithful. The ones that wake up take it one step past and say repukes and democrats ruined the country with their lies. So their answer? To find another party, usually the Libs, and give that party the same blind faith they gave to the pukes. Which means that when they can't get more then 1% of people out there to vote for the Libs, they go running back to the pukes, why? Because the democratic party is trying to turn the country into a socialist bloc. Because democrats believe that taking care of the poor, elderly and disabled is the governments responsibility. These idiots that live in economic depressed area's that are seeing high unemployment rates blame the unemployed for their unemployment problems instead of the CEO's that are doing the job cutting. After all they had unions and they were being paid way to much for their labors and it drove the price of the products they were making so high no one could buy those products which is why the companies are down sizing.

No matter what facts or evidence that anyone feeds them they can't get past their own greed to see the greed of those behind out sourcing and down sizing or whats driving the whole mess, outrageous profits. Most of them still believe that Reagan was the greatest president the country ever had in the white house. Reagan had it right, welfare, social secerity and government safety nets for workers were the cause of all america's woes. Never mind corporate welfare, those CEO's earned their money besides the owners of stocks decide the CEO's pay, so its none of their business. Military spending also has little to no bearing on where our tax dollars are spent. After all most of that money goes into the pockets of the troops and buys their equipement. When told, no those tax dollars go into research for new and improved weapons not for the troops. They refuse to see it because Reagan told them he was spending it on more troops.

When your dealing with fanatics like the 28% you can forget them ver waking up, thats like telling a fundie that the rapture was made up by people who think they are code breakers and they see the bible as one big code book. These people are a nation of haters, they breed hate, they hate that anyone is getting something they themselves feel they deserve.

5. I wouldn't lump them with those groups.
Not with Global Warming and Holocaust deniers. Some of those people actually do research to back up there opinion. The folks you're quoting are relying on "faith" to back their beliefs; and once someone has internalized something to that degree, mere arguments and facts are like spitballs against a brick wall.

Think of those LTEs as a "traffic accident": something you slow down to inspect, but are damn glad it weren't you.

7. TRIV!
That guy's an RW nutjob of the highest order. He did have a few good points on sports but once he talks about everything else, well . . . stick to sports, Triv.

8. The more power they lose
the more deperate they will become. I bet it will get even more shrill and more confrontational before it's over.
