3. I've seen it....and read it

I've been caucus chair twice over the years. Nothing as large as this gathering though.
I don't know all the details of this particular one.
I do know it is the responsibility of the permanent chair to explain to everyone how the process is going to work. These chairs are volunteers not professionals.
I can only assume what happened based on the limited knowledge I have from this precinct.
I am going to assume there was a set time to realign and when the time was up based on a clock everyone should be able to see....that's it. When the chair says time is up....time is up. It appears there might have been a woman heading their way. Then time was called before she got there. A protest then ensued and then by following Robert's rules a vote of yea or nay was taken.

I would have come out of here upset and I understand how people would be.....but....from what I saw it was handled correctly.

4. This is insane

That was NOT how I pictured the caucuses. The stories I've read thus far are extremely disturbing.

I liked this person's comment:

"Screw caucusing. Its time Iowa's disproportionate power over the political process ended. We need to divide the nation into four regional primaries which vote in four-month succession, allowing candidates ample time to swing through each region. Things the way they are robbed America of the best candidate for President, Joe Biden. Its a dirty damn shame."
