The grown-up
Edited on Sat Jan-26-08 10:43 AM by Jennifer C
Does it get on anyone's nerves that Edwards is now claiming the grown-up title?

I commend him for his performance in the SC debate, and I do hope he goes well today in the primary, however I can't stand how all of a sudden he's being labeled "the grown-up" out of the Democratic candidates. It frustrates me so much because he is and will never be a grown-up compared to Biden. None of the top 3 have been adults during the primary season. My god, they are such try-hard bidens, always trying to be him. I know imitation is the highest form of flattery, but if I were Joe I would be rolling my eyes and gagging.

Aghh. I am never going to get over Biden's exit. It still painfully stings.

:(

1. not really, well a little maybe... but only because i remember the REAL grown-up
when he was a candidate. ;) but i'm glad that someone has taken to acting grown-up while "the only two candidates in the race" tear each other to shreds.

and not as much as it pissed me off when Obama said "don't tell them what they want to hear- tell them what they need to know".

2. I don't think Joe ever NEEDED to refer to himself as the grownup -- people
labeled him with that because it was true.

Pissed me off when JE started with the "get up" line. Unbelievable.

3. And I'm sure when he grows up,
he wants to be "just like Joe". Meanwhile, he changes as it suits him. It wasn't that long ago that Edwards was criticized for excessive bickering at a debate. People really have short memories.

6. Most people's memories only seem to go back one
week at a time, two max. Though the most memorable line of any of the debates was Biden's 9/11 one and it has endured even if his message hasn't.
