Off topic-
If there is one person that the repugs hate as much as the Clintons - it's
Ted Kennedy. The rww (right wing wackos) always refer to the Dems as the party of Ted Kennedy.
I heard some pundit mention it last nite.

What do y'all think? Do you think this is going to hurt Obama in the GE?

Posting it here, because I don't want to deal with the nutcases out there.
The last time I said anything negative about Obama, I was told that I was just mad because Biden lost so badly.

1. I don't know
It made for a powerful news cycle, but who knows what the long range effects will be. Caroline's endorsement could soften any negative effects of her uncle's endorsement. A Kennedy endorsement could be a mixed blessing to a candidate who panders to so many diverse groups.

4. Very true about Caroline's endorsement.
I admit it, I am worried about our current candidates in the GE.

I can just hear the rw talking heads now. barf!

5. The Kennedys may be icons to a lot of
leftwingers, just like Reagan is to the right, but those who hate them, really, really hate them.

2. And here is an example
"In a rant that was described as greater-than-scathing, the head of the New York chapter of the National Organization for Women ripped into Sen. Ted Kennedy on Monday for "betraying" woman by not endorsing Sen. Hillary Clinton."

You just can't have everyone's vote!

3. That was a little bizzare.
I saw that story posted in gdp yesterday. Sounded more like sour grapes than anything else.

6. There certainly are a lot of sour grapes
these days, but quite honestly after 240 years, I think women have a right to want to see a woman in the Oval Office. Do we have to go through every minority imaginable before a woman can become president? Just a thought.

7. Regardless of which one, if HIllary or Obama become president I will be
SO PROUD of this country for having come so far and actually arrived at the time that we thought would occur "some day".

Again, I think it's unfortunate that they ran THIS TIME, because our country needs JOE. No question about his background, where he stands, experience or appeal to Reps.

Like that analyst said "In November 85% of the people will be saying "why didn't we pick Joe Biden.?"

8. At this point, either one, I really don't care, just as long
as one wins in the GE.

10. Yes, I think it will hurt him.
If it had been just Caroline's endorsement alone, that would have been different. She does not stir up the vitriol that Teddy does with the right wing wackos.

If HRC gets the nomination, the GOP will be motivated to come out in droves against her. If Obama gets it, same thing, due to the bigots ("Obama's Muslim!" "Obama's black!" FEAR! OH NOES! :eyes: ) and the Kennedy haters.

I want the Dems so much to win, and at this point the best neutralizer to the GOP, in my opinion, is JRE.

I hate it I feel that way. But I'm trying to be pragmatic.

11. I too am very worried about the GE.
The gopers will come out in droves now to vote against either of our candidates.
