I tuned into CNN and caught the last 20 minutes. But I think it will be rebroadcast on CNN International at 11am, so do I cut school or wait to see it online. Maybe it will be on iTunes?

3. I just finished watching it

and it was really a good debate. For the first time I've come away with a favorable opinion of both the candidates. I'm feeling more confident about the general election.

He got very upset shortly after Biden dropped out and said "goodbye" to everyone.

negative stuff I know creep in to my thoughts.

I still would have a hard time choosing between the two, though, and at this point I think my motivation would be to support whomever can beat the R's. But I'm not sure who that would be.

I had for Joe with either of them, but I'm satisfied that they are both good choices. As for beating the R's, I think Hillary has the edge there. She will kick ass in a debate with McCain or Romney.

I was thinking that Obama would do better against McCain because of Iraq.

Obama definitely won that part of the debate, but Hillary won on healthcare and taxes. imho.

I can live with Clinton/Obama, preferably in that order. I won't be dancing in the streets with joy, but at least I'll be fairly content.

but there's that exceptionally high DISAPPROVAL rating by both Dems and Reps that concerns me. I don't know how much water that holds, but it's there in the back of my mind.

11. I've thought of that but I'm starting to see things differently

I was very opposed to her in the beginning and could have been included in those disapproval ratings, but over the past year, she has very gradually moved me to a reserved approval. I think when people see her in contrast with McCain, people will re-evaluate her as I have.

No one will ever take the place of Joe Biden in my heart. He is an extraordinary man and I think his race has given him a new and more powerful voice.

don't really know why) that I would not like her at all. Then when I watched the first debate, I went "hmmm....she's not as bad as I thought she'd be..."

That people might re-evaluate when they really get a chance to see her is a distinct possibility, so who knows?

There are so many questions about Obama and Clinton that we didn't even have to deal with when Joe was in the running. I am not realizing even more how lucky I was to have him as my candidate. He will always be the person I look to, and like you, no one will ever take his place in my heart -- or even HAVE a place in my heart. Joe is too special, too exceptional.

15. I was surprised too in the early debates

and I gave her credit for her performance in spite of my undying support of Biden. If Joe hadn't been in the race, I probably would have leaned towards Clinton.

To me it's all about the fight. Who can and will fight them?

14. So far, Hillary has shown herself to be more of a fighter

and that is hard for a woman to do and not turn people off. Whether we like it or not, women are judged differently than men. We are evolving, but old perceptions don't die easily. Obama is starting to show more confidence, but he still has a way to go and he doesn't have much time.

You know, I would never vote for a candidate because she was a woman, but if the candidates were equally matched, then I'd say after 43 male presidents, it is time for a woman.

16. After Florida, CNN had a brief interview with HRC.

I was actually impressed with what she said. She said her first priority would be to get the troops out of Iraq within six months. And she also said something about reversing some of the executive power legislation that boosh has pushed through. I have to admit that I am ignorant of her stances & at this point, will still not take the time to check them out, but it was good to hear a candidate admit that the executive branch is out of control & needs to be reigned in.
