BIDEN/LUGAR Resolution Calling on International Community to Support Peacekeepers in Darfur Passes
Senate!

God love ya Joe :loveya:

I read this, and I wanna cry. All those nasty threads out there - What has Hillary ever done? What has Obama ever done?
and supporters have a hard time answering.

Once again, Biden has worked across party lines to get things done.

2. Because he stands for something.

As soon as candidates take real stands on issues they alienate voters, take enough stands and too many people are alienated. That's why top tier candidates tend to say what the polls tell them too. It's incredibly frustrating. I don't agree with Joe on every issues, but the fact that he stands for what he believes in and is willing to tell me what I don't want to hear when I need it, is precisely why I support him. Apparently many Americans would rather be lied to or misled. Whoever get elected, I'd like to revisit all their promises in 3 years and see what they actually delivered on. I'm guessing health care will be a vicious fight, NCLB will still be a mess, we'll probably still have a significant amount of troops in Iraq, and who knows what will happen with the economy. I hope I'm wrong though. Of course if we pick up a bunch more seats in the house and senate, then maybe it'll be different.

Edit: I got on my soapbox about Joe and other principled candidates getting pushed aside and never posted my reactions to this being passed! I'm incredibly happy that this passed. Our role in this world along with the other industrialized nations is to protect the less fortunate, whether it is our own underprivileged citizens, or those who are persecuted abroad. Go Joe!

5. No - I don't think anyone is interested in anything like this right now.
Everyone is too focused; obsessed with the primaries.

Maybe after (or if) we have a nominee, people will once again want to hear what is getting done in Congress.

3. There is just NO COMPARISON to this man. In addition to everything else,
he's a great humanitarian.

Maybe we should wait a day until posting, when more people might see it?

Thanks, P!

I love that man SO MUCH!

6. There is no comparison.

I hope he is part of the next administration.
He should be SoS - he would be perfect, and I would sleep so much better.

9. I agree
The next president will need him to help right the ship of state. He could go a long way to mend hard feelings at home and abroad. Biden for SoS!
