help finding Biden on Iran; joebiden.com website almost down?
Anyone have at their fingertips Biden's statement on Iran - about impeaching if Bush bypassed Congress? Wanted to respond to a post about Conyers on that.

Googled for info and it looks like joebiden.com is just the home page now?

4. yeah, that great journalist you commented about.
I wonder how Biden and Lugar figure out who to invite to hearings?

5. I got the feeling that Biden wasn't too impressed with him.
Did you think that too? Biden got a little snippy when Rosen called the US "imperialists".

hehe - did you catch Murkowski during his testimony? She looked like she just saw a ghost.

6. Yeah, he was uncomfortable with him
I think the worst feeling came across when he said, so what you're saying is it's pretty much hopeless? Maybe Biden is so intent on fixing things that drives him nuts. Or maybe he's so upset about what Bush has done to U.S. credibility that the word hit a nerve with him.

I have to say most of the GOP on that committee seem smart and often ask good questions. Since I've started paying attention to these hearings, there have been few cases of a GOP kissing up to a witness or saying crazy things (next week may be different). Even Coleman, who I usually detest, has some smart things to say. Maybe Lugar is picky about who gets on that committee!

7. I agree - some of them do ask good, revelant questions.
What amazes me, is how interested I am in all of this. I have Joe Biden to thank for that!
Last summer gateley and I spent hours studying his plan for Iraq and how it would affect Iraq and the regions surrounding Iraq.

Biden seemed like he was frustrated because he really believes that his plan for Iraq is the answer.. and during the second session the people brought into testify were concentrating on a unified Iraq while at the same time they were saying that Iraq is breaking up into secretarian strongholds and safe havens. I dunno - that's just how I was reading Biden during that hearing.
Anyway - it was great to watch him in action again :)

8. Yes it is. I'm also wondering if part of the problem is the delay
Had Biden's plan been implemented a year ago, vs. now... I dunno :(

I was very educated about history and politics in high school. As a science major in college I let that slide a bit. I had some very political friends in grad school who got me interested again. That was before 2000. Now it's just hard to get interested - feel like I get burned (Kerry, Biden).
