1. tired of the negative responses

I got so sick of the one line zingers thrown out in responses to articles like this. Somehow it sort of points out a lack of intellectual integrity.

I am so torn on this VP issue. If I knew that a VP in the democratic administration could act as an equal....a plural Presidency (like the current one) could take over foreign affairs or whatever area needed addressed....I would be all for that. I don't really believe that will happen. I see this potential administration being more like the former Clinton one....Gore was basically hogtied and told what to do. I wouldn't wish that on anybody. I like Joe where he is........but then I start thinking again....what if???

And I probably am more strong in my desire for Joe to stay where he is than most.

But I keep remembering a clip I saw with Madeline Albright recently.

She was asked if she had trouble, as a woman, being taken seriously as SOS when she visited Arab countries. She said "No. When you land in a big white plane that has United States of America in big letters emblazoned on the side, people take you seriously."

On the other hand (flip again), Joe has no trouble being taken seriously were he is now. Who did Musharraf and Bhutto call?

I find that very interesting what you say Madeline Albright had to say. I guess that would make sense.

Remember her? She posted at DU a couple of times, but mostly posted at the Bidenbloggers.

I agree Bell - most of the responses were pretty bad.
