I had to miss KO.....even though I rarely watch him anymore anyway...in fact I watch very little TV.

I enjoyed watching that. I know I don't have to say it, but every time I watch Joe he just makes things so clear. His statement something like. "The Democrat candidate should relish the debate on foreign policy." He really does have a point.

I remember when you first graced us with your presence, and you were responding to a post from VI, and you ended your post with, Idiot.

I thought -- who IS this bitch, coming in here and calling one of us an idiot!?!?

After seeing a couple more of your posts, which weren't mean AT ALL, I realized, D'oh! Village Idiot. THAT'S what she was saying... :blush:

I've made it to fla, and I do apologize for appearing so rude to The Idiot!

Things moving along here; visiting with folks to help them with their changing lives; sold house, moved, and apparent dementia for mom is quite a strain on dad who is 94.

SO, we'll see. I could certainly live without this change of life, but I guess there's not much I can do about it!

6. It must be noted,

that I was the only one who didn't "get it" when you were talking to VI. Pretty funny.

I understand how hard it is when your parents are elderly. I took care of both of mine, and my dad had dementia due to Parkinson's.

My best (unsolicited) advice is to let yourself feel sorry for YOURSELF. I tried to be too strong and I would just say "well okay, this is who my mom/dad is TODAY" rather than acknowledging the horror of seeing the people upon whom I relied my entire life become weak and people I didn't recognize. I paid for it later, so be gentle and understanding with yourself now.

You're in my thoughts.

We all (4 of us; brother leaving fla tomorrow) had a neat fondue dinner tonight, and last night a great vietnamese dinner, both instead of dining at my folks' residence. SO I think we'll all remember these events; food/restaurant/travel memories are important to us.

I'd like to understand the dementia variations; as time goes on and mom does physical exercises, and we help her with stuff, her mind seems stronger (we'll see; day to day) and her body slightly stronger. Her inability to walk, and now use arms and hands, came very suddenly. Need to understand; hope to visit doctor soon.
