1. I'm lov'n it. Not knowing what DIGG is, I googled it and was momentarily

stunned as I misread "social bookmarking" as "social bookmaking." Concentrate, Samadhi, concentrate!

2. I'm just now "getting" it.

I've seen it everywhere (links to it) and references to it, and I think we can digg our OP's, too. As I understand it, if you read an article you can click the Digg icon and it will put that article up on the Digg website for the entire world to see.

So, let's say we find an article on cnn.com where every single person in Washington is clamoring for Joe Biden to save our party. We DIGG it, and those that didn't read the article (millions!) will see it on DIGG.

I see DIGG IT things everywhere, but I never explored it any further. DO you get your own page or something? Like a reading referral list?

5. I don't know yet.

I just saw a thread on it, with a few people saying they didn't know what it really was (I'm raising my hand here) so all I really get so far is what I wrote above -- click on Digg - and that article is added to their database.

I should head on over and do some looking around -- I'll report back.

I also don't know what all those icons are now on OPs, but I'm guessing they're more sites like that.
