DELAWARE: New candidate seeks Biden's Senate seat

WILMINGTON -- A second Republican has announced her candidacy for the U.S. Senate seat held for 35 years by Democrat Joe Biden.

Thirty-eight-year-old Christine O'Donnell says Delaware says Biden is showing too little interest in the needs of Delaware families.

O'Donnell says she will seek an official party endorsement for her candidacy at the GOP convention this weekend in Dewey Beach. Republican Tim Smith is the other announced candidate.

O'Donnell was a write-in candidate for U.S. Senate in 2006.

I think she'd been called on it, but didn't retract her statements. Biden will crush her.
