2. Yep!!!
The administration needs to get Joe out there more. People can relate to what he says.

3. Yes, they do!
I've decided that the biggest thing Obama lacks is passion! I have yet to see any passion in this president. Sure, he gives good speeches, but they lack passion. I'm beginning to think that that may be his biggest problem - that he doesn't get fired up about anything.

I read this article yesterday, by David Michael Green & I agree with damned near every word he says.

4. And Joe has so much passion that at times I'd be holding my breath or have
tears streaming down my face when listening to him.

I've seen Obama get irritated, but that's about the extent of it.

Off to check out the link -- thanks!

6. Joe is a very moving speaker - all those speeches we listened to while he was on the campaign trail
when he was in Iowa (before Obama put a leash on him). Whenever Joe gave a speech, you could hear a pin drop in the room.
He knows how to engage people. I could listen to him for hours.

Maybe if Obama would put away the teleprompter every now and then, he would talk from his heart.
Yeah - I know - I sound like a faux news reporter BUT when I saw he took a teleprompter into a 6th grade classroom - I couldn't believe my eyes. Seriously? You can't talk to elementary school children without a speech written?

I just hope he can muster up some passion before tonite's SOTU.

7. You are right!
The only time Obama really engages me is when he's talking to the People - like those town hall meeting type of things. He really does shine in those situations. He's engaging, he has a good sense of humor, but you see that he is smart & thoughtful. He needs to do more of that & less of the long, tele-prompter speeches.

As for the telepromter in the sixth grade class - I couldn't believe that either.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that Obama has put a leash on Biden. At first, I was thrilled at the selection of Biden for VP, but now, I wonder if Obama even listens to Biden. I still think it may have been a political move to get the 'older white man' vote.

9. And he's great with children
I love seeing him hold babies and small children. He is so affectionate and gentle. Kids are drawn to him.

He DOES have a great sense of humor. I wish we could see more of the engaging Obama, but I suppose the republicans would criticize him for being too informal and not presidential enough.

10. "...and not presidential enough."
After the last eight years, that is the funniest thing ever!

11. That's for sure
Sometimes I forget and then I see a clip of GW - no wonder we were so angry. What an embarrassment he was! What on earth were the republicans thinking? At least with Reagan, they got an actor who could PLAY a president, but Bush had no redeeming qualities whatsoever. I wonder how the history books will portray the Bush years.

8. I think he does okay (Obama) when he kind of wings it, takes a little detour, but
he's not good at all at trying to deliver a speech type thing w/out the teleprompter. I saw him recently reading a speech from paper, like maybe the teleprompter had failed, and it was almost painful to watch. Pretty bad.

And you put it beautifully -- you could hear a pin drop.

I'm STILL trying to find that video he made to medical workers for the military - without fail, it moved me so deeply every time I watched it. And I watched it SEVERAL times!

5. I totally agree - that's what Obama's whole problem is -
he has no passion. You can't sell anything without passion.

It makes me wonder if he is capable of showing passion at those passionate times - haha - yes I said it.
Come to think of it - Michelle doesn't smile alot, does she?
