Of course, Joe hasn't been in the news a whole lot lately, so there hasn't been much to say. Just wanted to say "hi" anyway.

1. From time to time I drop by to read --I think for old-time sentimental reasons.
I guess one would call it lurking. :hide:

I haven't posted here in such a very long time. I feel so betrayed by this administration. :(. I know some people don't feel that way.

I often wonder what Joe is REALLY thinking. I know he was against going into Libya and against the escalation in Afghanistan. I can't imagine, with his background, that he would support charter schools.

Also, Joe had a great environmental record and I don't think he would support the slaughter of wolves.

So, I just wonder if anybody is really listening to Joe. :(

2. Everything is different once a candidate is actually
in the White House. I'm sure many of them go in with great intentions, but once in the Oval Office, reality sets in. Of course it doesn't help that the republicans in Congress will fight a Democratic president no matter what he tries to do. So in some respects, I cut him a little slack, but I am often critical and disappointed.

Meanwhile, I am hopeful that a second term will bring more positive change, as re-election will not be stalking him.

I'm sure Obama does listen to Joe, even though he may not always take his advice. Rahm Emanuel said some very positive things about Joe not long ago and said the president and his VP have an uncommonly close relationship. I can't think of any president/VP combo in my lifetime that came even close.

No, I wouldn't call it "lurking". Many of us drop by on occasion to touch base and share memories! :hi: :hi: :hi:
