2nd Guatemalan officer detained in disappearance (AP)

GUATEMALA CITY - A second suspect is under arrest in the 1984 disappearance of a union activist during Guatemala's civil war.

National Police spokesman Marco Trejo says former police officer Abraham Lancerio was detained in Guatemala City on Friday.

On Thursday police agent Hector Roderico Ramirez was arrested in the city of Quetzaltenango.

There has been no trace of Fernando Garcia since police arrested him in 1984. But documents on his arrest are among a trove of police files discovered in by human rights prosecutors in 2005 ...

It's a damned shame the U.S. citizens who supported and still support this evil abuse, can't be brought to their own personal days of reckoning, as well.
