VIDEO: Morales Chews Coca Leaf at UN Int'l. Drug Control Progr conference and says "Arrest Me"
On March 11, 2009, in Vienna, Pres. Morales makes his point about the coca leaf.

The following video is from Telediaspora (Africa's equivalent of Telesur) and is narrated in French. The basic translation is that Morales asks for the coca leaf to be withdrawn from the list of banned substances because it is central to indidigenous identity. He pops the leaf in his mouth and says "arrest me since it's illegal."

the Morales segment begins near the very end of the newscast at 35:48.

You gotta love this guy!

1. Just saw it! Very nice, for sure. That's gotta be a first.
Also, glad to see they ran a clip again of the Iraqi journalist when he pitched his shoes at that guy who lived in the White House.

Thanks for sharing the Evo at the U.N. video moment.
