Navy deployed to Venezuela airports, seaports

President Hugo Chavez deployed the navy to Venezuela's seaports on Sunday, and he said state governors who challenge new legislation bringing transportation hubs under federal control could end up in prison.

Speaking during his weekly television and radio program, Chavez ordered naval vessels to seize control of Port Cabello in Carabobo state and Maracaibo Port in Zulia state — two of Venezuela's largest seaports.

Then he singled out the opposition-sided governors of those states — Carabobo Gov. Henrique Salas and Zulia Gov. Pablo Perez — and told military officers they might decide to flout the newly approved law.

"If he gets smart ... that deserves prison," Chavez said of Salas. "The same goes for the governor of Zulia."

Lawmakers loyal to Chavez voted last week to bring all airports, highways and seaports under federal control, a move government adversaries said was designed to expand the president's power.

"This is a national security issue," Chavez said Sunday, defending the law.

Lies, disinformation, psyops, corpo/fascist "framing," mistranslation, you name it--shit journalism coming your way. Read between the lines. Peer into the black holes where information should be. Don't trust a single word.

It's certainly possible that something has happened to worry the Chavez government about port security, especially in Zulia--location of major Venezuelan oil reserves and facilities; on the Caribbean coast, where the Bushwhacks reconstituted the US 4th Fleet, which has been harrying the Venezuelan oil coast over the last six months or so, with illegal overflights and surveillance; also, Zulia is politically controlled by fascist coup plotters, and adjacent to Colombia--recipient of $6 BILLION in military largesse from the Bushwhacks (that is, from our empty coffers), and whose Defense Minister last week said that the Colombian military does not have to respect Venezuelan sovereignty when pursuing FARC guerrillas into Venezuela.

Early last year, the US/Colombia dropped ten US "smart bombs" on Ecuadoran territory, and raided over the border, to slaughter 25 people in their sleep, at a temporary FARC hostage release camp--causing a major fracas in South America, whose leaders extracted a promise from Colombia that it would not do this again. Colombia's Defense Minister--in defiance of Pres. Uribe?--is now publicly saying that that promise is rescinded.

Another clue to what the Chavez government is dealing with: This last September, the Bushwhacks sponsored a fascist secessionist coup attempt in Bolivia. Bolivia's president, Evo Morales, threw the US ambassador and the DEA out of Bolivia, and the new South American common market, UNASUR, acted swiftly to give the Morales government full backing. The coup attempt--which included widespread fascist riots and mass murder--was defeated. Its object had been to split off the eastern provinces into a fascist mini-state in control of Bolivia's gas and oil resources.

Earlier in the year, Ecuador's president, Rafael Correa, had said that there was a coordinated, three-country Bushwhack/fascist strategy to create secessionist civil wars--Venezuela, Bolivia, Ecuador--all with huge oil reserves (particularly big in Venezuela and Ecuador, who are members of OPEC).

In Dec 07, Donald Rumsfeld published an op-ed in the Washington Post, entitled, "The Smart Way to Defeat Tyrants Like Chavez," in which he urged "swift action" by the US in support of "friends and allies" in South America. Since the Bush Junta had almost no "friends and allies" in South America, he likely meant fascist "friends and allies" within Venezuela, Bolivia and Ecuador, as well as their coup plotting allies in the Colombia military and its closely tied rightwing paramilitary death squads. Rumsfeld was ousted from the Defense Dept. in Dec 06. What was he doing interesting himself in Venezuela and South America, a year later, and what he is doing now?

The CIA and the Miami mafia chose the Eisenhower/Kennedy transition period to try to trap Kennedy into a war on Cuba (the infamous "Bay of Pigs" fiasco), which occurred very early in Kennedy's only term. Could we be looking at a similar scenario--a private war, launched from Colombia into Venezuela, to support the fascist "freedom fighters" opposing the "tyrant" Chavez (at least 2 years worth of psyops and relentless propaganda, to create that entirely false image), with the intention of pressuring Obama to provide US military support?

Context: Lula da Silva, president of Brazil, just met with Obama in the White House. Lulu is a close friend and ally of Chavez in particular, and of all the new leftist leaders. (He was a key player in helping fend off the Bushwhack coup attempt in Bolivia.) Lulu has publicly stated that one of his purposes in meeting with Obama is to straighten him out about Venezuela and Bolivia, and their vibrant democracies and good leaders. The many leftist leaders of South America--who have been swept into power in a great leftist tide over the last half decade--are on the move, to influence the Obama White House toward an historic, new, peaceful, non-meddling policy in South America (and all of Latin America). They have the people--the vast majorities in South American countries--behind them, and they are united on this purpose. A major exception is Colombia, the fascist dinosaur, bristling with Bush-provided weapons, and egregiously corrupt, at the highest levels, on drug trafficking, weapons trafficking and death squad murders. (And Peru is a bit iffy--run by corrupt "free tradists," but still probably democratic enough to oust them in the next election.) The rest of the continent--Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Uruguay, Paraguay--form a solid block, wanting peace and non-interference.

More context: If all goes peacefully and honestly, El Salvador is right now electing its first leftist president, furthering the leftist tide in the Caribbean/Central American region. (Nicaragua elected a leftist; Mexico almost did, a few years ago; Honduras is now left-leaning; and Guatemala has meanwhile elected its first progressive government, ever, which is in sympathy with Bolivarian social justice goals.)

It makes sense that now is the time to strike--for Colombia, Rumsfeld (if he is involved, or other Bushwhacks), and their fascist allies in Venezuela (also, possibly, Ecuador--also adjacent to Colombia, and already attacked, last year). The Venezuela intelligence service is very good--they have fended off numerous Bushwhack plots. And they are closely allied with other leftist leaders and their intelligence services. Have they picked up intelligence that Rumsfeld's civil war plan is about to be implemented--to stop the Lula da Silva initiative with Obama, to destroy prospects for peaceful relations before they make headway, to totally fuck up Obama's foreign policy in Latin America, to try to draw him into a war, and of course to try to secure Venezuela's oil for Exxon Mobil?

This AP 'news' article is framed and twisted to make it look like Chavez is a bully and a "dictator." But, knowing that Venezuela is a democracy--and a very good one--and that Chavez is endorsed by, and close allies with, Lula da Silva and other leaders, it is easy to see past that bullshit, beyond which lay the real reasons for the Chavez government securing the ports under federal control, and strongly warning Zulia's fascist plotters against a coup.
