HAVANA JOURNAL: End of embargo and Obama at Summit of Americas
HAVANA JOURNAL: End of the Embargo and Obama at the Summit of the Am

From: Havana Journal <rob@havanajournal.com>

Subject: End of the Embargo and Obama at the Summit of the Americas
Date: Mar 18, 2009 9:54 PM

Dear Havana Journal member,

We have written two articles that we think Havana Journal readers would like to know about.

First, President Obama announced that he will be attending the Summit of the Americas in Trinidad in April. We think that he will need to make a major policy announcement regarding Cuba before he goes to the Summit. So, read this article first http://havanajournal.com/politics/entry/5th-summit-of-the-americas-obama-and-cuba/ .

Second, we are seeing a number of what we think are related news events that strongly suggest to me that the end of the US Embargo is near and the Summit of the Americas just may be the catalyst moving things forward. We will be updating this article http://havanajournal.com/politics/entry/timeline-of-end-of-us-cuba-trade-and-travel-embargo/ as we discover relevant news articles.

Keep your eyes and ears open folks. This time it is different. The House and Senate and President all appear to be in favor of lifting Cuba travel restrictions on ALL Americans.

Thanks for reading.

1. Wow. Hope his announcement will be far better than what we've heard already.
Hoping the Havana Journal is on to something.

Thanks for the info. :hi:
