HAVANA, Cuba, April 16 - Cuban President Raul Castro has arrived in Venezuela today leading the island’s delegation to the Extraordinary Summit of the Bolivarian Alternative of the Americas (ALBA), to take place in Cumaná.

In this meeting, the participating leaders will analyze the impact on the region of the serious international economic crisis and its effects on the global economy, as well as other topics of priority for the member countries of the organization.

Attending the summit with the Cuban delegation are Vice President of the Council of Ministers Ricardo Cabrisas; Culture Minister Abel Prieto Jimenez; Foreign Relations Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla; Foreign Trade and Investment Minister Rodrigo Malmierca Diaz; President of the Central Bank of Cuba Francisco Soberon Valdes and President of the Economic Affairs Commission of the Cuban Parliament Osvaldo Martínez Martinez."
