Venezuela Solidarity Helps DomRep
Santo Domingo, Jun 23 (Prensa Latina) When the history of solidarity with this republic is written, the name of Commandant Hugo Chavez Frias must be inscribed in golden letters, wrote presidential advisor Vinicio Castillo.

There is no precedence for the magnitude and soft conditions that have allowed us to surpass "the serious international financial crisis and, above all, the explosion of oil prices," Castillo wrote in an editorial of El Listin Diario daily, one of the most popular in the country.

He also asks what would have become of this country without the generous hand of President Chavez, and how they would have paid in cash more than 5 billion dollars of the oil budget without a 25 year term with fixed interest. The advisor of the President said that acknowledgement of this solidarity is necessary at a time "of laughable reactions" to an announced sale to Venezuela of actions in the National Refinery that last year was the property of Royal Shell Dutch transnational.

"That company managed the Dominican Refinery of Oil as it wanted for decades in detriment of the Dominican State with the conspiratorial silence of many that today oppose the inclusion of Venezuela as a partner," he said.
