Cuba and Bolivia to Sign Economic Agreement
Cuba and Bolivia to Sign Economic Agreement

Havana, March 6 (acn) After several days of negotiations, representatives of Cuba and Bolivia will sign a document on Friday to expand economic relations between the two countries

Olena Navas, director of Cuba's Export Promotion Center (CEPEC), told acn that delegates from the two countries will pen an economic agreement in Cuba that includes the elimination of tariffs and the establishment of duty-free measures in bilateral trade.

For that reason, the parties discussed access to different markets and four commercial standards that are considered to be of the utmost importance for the development of commercial relations, said Navas.

She explained that the working sessions were part of the actions included in the People's Trade Treaty program and the Bolivarian Alternative of the Americas (TCP-ALBA), which was created in 2007.

Among TCP-ALBA's priorities are the improvement of living standards in terms of income, education, health, water supply, culture and sustainable development, with the participation of the people in collective decision-making.
