Uribe implores Colombian military and police NOT to sleep the next seven nights

during his last week in office so they can capture or kill ALL of the FARC, ELN, narco-traffickers, illegal paramilitaries, bandits, and all other delinquents. In other words, do in one week what he has failed to do in eight years.

Uribe insta a las Fuerzas Armadas a no dormir las próximas siete noches

Looks like the man is coming completely bat-crazy unhinged.

Santos may be pissed at this. The troops will be so tired that they will topple over and go to sleep in the middle of the military parade at his inauguration next Sunday.

3. English version

Colombian President Alvaro Uribe ordered members of the armed forces to work day and night to arrest those criminals "who are still missing" before his term ends on August 7.

"Let's not sleep these seven nights, dear soldiers and policemen, to see how we can advance in the arrest of those still missing," Uribe said Saturday in Monteria, the capital of the department of Coroba where paramilitary drug gangs are terrorizing the population and murder rates soar.

Notice the El Espectador headline uses the verb "insta" which means to urge, implore or to press (someone to do something).

The Colombia Report uses the verb "orders."

4. Like instigate. El E was poking a little fun at him maybe.
Look at that shirt. He looks like a refugee from one of Tom Harkin's cookouts. Iowa wouldn't be a bad place for alvarito to retire. Maybe he can rent a secure crop circle.

5. Cool! He's headed for a break down. He needn't worry. No matter where he goes,
the Colombian people will ALWAYS look out for him, protect him at all costs. He's so damned popular.

Anyone ever hear of a President becoming unglued right before he's supposed to leave office?

Oh, yeah. There are a lot of problems with his administration which are under investigation right as we post!

6. I never understand what people like this psychopath are thinking.
They must see a super protective bubble around them that is invisible to everyone else.

While on earth, the bowls of hell open to send forth mighty monsters to protect them from the helpless.

Love that bubble guy in your photo.
