FARC attack leaves 15,000 without power
A FARC attack on two electricity towers the southern Colombian Caqueta department leaves 15,000 inhabitants of the town of Cartagena del Chaira without power.

The attack occurred Thursday afternoon in a rural area several kilometers from Cartagena de Chaira.

Following the attack, local authorities reported that the guerrilla had set up a roadblock and were not allowing vehicles to leave the area. A regional security council was convened to analysis the crisis.

Colombian airforce plans patrolling the zone confirmed at 9PM Thursday that the FARC had left the area.
