1. Wonder what it might mean if C-Span carried his live speech, and now is still carrying the comments
from members! I have never seen a live transmission of the Cuban National Assembly.

Geez, Representative Pablo Marichal sounds as if he's been reading U.S. newspapers. He's referring to Wikileaks! Completely informed, and this information is being heard by U.S. citizens, many of whom have believed Cubans are completely isolated, and have NO IDEA of what the ####'s going on outside Cuba.

Ah, ha ha ha ha.

Thank you, Billy Burnett, for the heads up.

3. Hi Judi. It isn't live. It's from his Aug 7 address.
Notice how young the CNA representatives are?

4. Yes, just noticed a few minutes ago when I saw the tiny words in the upper right.
Yes, there are so MANY representatives, too. It looks as if almost every seat is filled.

They seem to have a very personal attitude toward him, as if he were as close to them as someone like a neighbor. No sense of distance whatsoever. Very nice.

You bet, I've seen a lot of younger representatives.

I think the number he quoted for the accumulative power of all the stored nuclear weapons is around 450,000 or 470,000 times the power unleashed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. (Not too good at recalling numbers correctly.)

5. Just saw the representative Alexis Leyva, who's very young.
Fidel Castro remembered a message he got from him recently and a photo of him and his family, and a speech Leyva gave recently, as well.

I've heard the guy amazes visitors, like US Congresspeople who have had dinner with him, with his unbelievable memory.

2. Fidel Castro just referred to Walter from Telesur who stood up and we could see he's the one

who speaks on Telesur frequently, a tremendous guy who wears an eye patch. Kinda cool seeing him in Cuba.

They said CNN is also transmitting the meeting.

On edit, that commandante is so animated today. He must feel so much better than he has for several years.

9. Juan's expression of solidarity with the American people is moving.
Amazing. After the the US gov helped the exiles nearly accomplish the dirty deed of kidnapping his own child, he clearly remembers the solidarity of the American people who overwhelmingly supported the rights of his family over politics.

All of the expressions of the members are expressions of solidarity with people all over the world and their willingness/hopes to engage in world peace and the wellbeing of all.

Wonderful.

Thanks, Billy.
