Berlin to Host Cuba Solidarity Events

Berlin, Aug 20 (Prensa Latina) German political groups and solidarity organizations will hold a series of activities on Cuba in September, including movie shows, exhibitions, and debates, at the BAIZ cultural center in this capital.

These activities aim to show Cuba's political reality and the situation of its people in a bid to break with media manipulation, given that coverage by the major German newspapers is chiefly based on prejudice, says an on-line report posted on the cultural center's website.

Solidarity activities with Cuba begin on September 5th with the showing of the Russian-Cuban film "Soy Cuba" (I am Cuba), first shown in 1964.

The German Solidarity Network with Cuba will carry out activities to inform on the case of the Cuban Five, antiterrorist fighters unfairly imprisoned in the United States.
