Cuba Denounces Ties Between Terrorists Based in the US, Washington and Mercenaries on the island.

Havana, May 19 -Cuba denounced on Monday the connections between terrorists in Miami, mercenaries inside Cuba and the US administration with the objective of carrying out subversive activities against the island.

The Director of the North American Department of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Josefina Vidal referred to some of the evidence of the ties between the US Interests Section in Havana and the mercenaries in Cuba.

A selection of videos, photos, statements, telephone conversations, emails as well as investigations carried out by Cuban State Security were revealed to the foreign and national press in Havana. The rest of the evidence will be shown in a two part series during Monday´s and Tuesday´s Round Table discussions on Cuban television.

She said that the involvement of officials from the US Interests Section as facilitators of the money sent from terrorists in Miami to mercenaries on the island is scandalous and very serious.

Previously, Cuba had denounced the US Interests Section´s financial aid to internal counter revolutionary elements, but now there is evidence of the actions of the US officials in mediating in the money distribution from terrorist Santiago Alvarez to mercenaries on the island.

The Cuban Foreign Ministry official said that it would be good to ponder whether the US government is conscious of what the head of the US Interests Section is doing in Havana and if these actions are part of the so called secret annexation of the Bush Plan for Cuba.

Dr. Manuel Hevia, Director of the Historic Research Department of State Security offered details on the support and finance received by the counter revolutionary elements in Cuba from US territory.

Hevia gave the background of terrorist Santiago Alvarez and his ties with Luis Posada Carriles and explained the modus operandi of Alvarez in his illegal operations.

1. Wow! Nasty old Santiago Alverez. He was caught with an enormous cache of weaponry in his office
in Miami, and explosives, etc. squirreled away in other locations. He was caught, along with another guy or two. This was after he used his boat to spirit Luis Posada Carriles back to safety after he was released from prison in Panama for his part in an attempt to assassinate Fidel Castro as he was speaking before a very large gathering of college students in an auditorium.

They've had the goods on Marta Beatriz Roque for YEARS and YEARS. What a grimey old hag and a traitor, to boot.

Tell us anything you've got time to post, magbana. You can be sure there will be lots of people here anxious to get the word on this hag.

Hope her many friends in Miami are swelling with pride about her, as well.

(Makes me wild I can't understand what's on those links, but it was excellent seeing the old pig in person on video.)

2. Oh, oh, magbana. I found an article in the corporate media already:
Cuba: US carried funds to opposition
By WILL WEISSERT – 30 minutes ago

HAVANA (AP) — Cuba on Monday accused America's top diplomat in the country of ferrying funds to dissidents on the island from a man it characterizes as a terrorist.

E-mails and other correspondence suggest U.S. Interests Section chief Michael Parmly was asked to carry cash from Miami to dissidents in Havana, Cuban authorities said. In one e-mail, activist Martha Beatriz Roque urged her nephew in Miami to give "letters" to Parmly. Cuban officials claim the word "letters" was code for cash, but they gave no proof money was involved.

Cuba said the funds came from the Miami-based Fundacion Rescate Juridica, headed by Santiago Alvarez, a Cuban-American businessman once convicted in the U.S. of conspiring to collect military-style weapons to overthrow Cuba's government.

Alvarez is currently serving a 10-month prison term for refusing to testify against Luis Posada Carriles, the alleged mastermind of bombings of a Cuban jetliner and hotels, and of assassination attempts on former President Fidel Castro.

"This reveals the connection between the counterrevolutionaries in Cuba and the terrorists," Cuban Foreign Ministry official Josefina Vidal Ferreira said at a news conference carried live on state television and radio.

She asked U.S. authorities to carry out their own "deep investigations," and said Cuba is "waiting for the government of the United States to take appropriate measures and adhere to international protocol."
