Ecuador anticipates "drastic measures" for Pdvsa's failure
Wilson Pástor, Ecuador Minister of Nonrenewable Natural Resources, warned that his country would "take drastic measures" if the state-run oil company Petróleos de Venezuela (Pdvsa) fails to increase oil output at Sacha oil field in Ecuador's Amazon region, for its oil production joint venture with Ecuador's state oil company Petroecuador.

Pástor urged the Venezuelan oil company to carry to Ecuador a third oil tower that the oilfield needs for its operation and to meet production targets. He also urged it to repair the second tower because there is only one drilling rig operating in the area, DPA reported.
