Planned parenthood is endorsing the health reform legislation
From the planned parenthood website:

Get the Facts

So much of the national conversation on health care reform is about the politics — constant bickering by anti-reform politicians, negative sound bites on the evening news, and analysts discussing what it all means for the November elections. It seems that some lawmakers and pundits have forgotten what this is really all about: getting people the care they need.

Women shouldn't be forced to wait any longer for health care reform, and they can't afford new restrictions on abortion coverage. In the video below, Tiffany, a mother of three in South Dakota tells her story in her own words.

Tiffany describes the kind of deeply private, personal, and difficult decision that some women like her are forced by circumstance to make regarding their families and their health.

Pass Health Care Reform

Pass Health Reform Without New Restrictions on Abortion

Tell Congress to focus on what matters and pass health care reform without new restrictions on abortion coverage. Because it's not about politics, who's winning, and who's losing. It's about Tiffany, and women like her all around the country who need health care reform, and need it now.

Take action now: contact Congress today. A final vote in Congress is expected as soon as this week, and we have no time to waste.

Congressman Bart Stupak and his allies — including the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops — are threatening to bring down the entire bill unless it eliminates private health insurance coverage for abortion. As Bart Stupak works furiously to resurrect his abortion ban, we face the reality that the Nelson amendment is included in the current health care bill. If enacted, the Nelson amendment would be the most severe restriction on private health insurance coverage for abortion in 35 years.

Even if you’ve contacted Congress on health care reform before, please do so again now — this could be our last chance to defeat Bart Stupak’s abortion ban, as well as fix the severely anti-choice Nelson amendment that was included in Senate legislation.

President Obama’s health care reform proposal would make a real difference for the women and families who rely on Planned Parenthood. It would extend health care coverage to tens of millions of Americans; guarantee access to affordable preventive screenings for cancer and other life-saving tests; protect women against gender discrimination by private insurers; end the practice of dropping coverage because of pre-existing conditions; and significantly increase access to reproductive health care.

2. With Kucinich likely to vote yes, the "kill the bill" crowd is running out of credibility.
