caused the deaths of thousands of people a year because they wanted a Public Option.

6. I knew it would be.
I've know him for over 4 decades now, and knew that when he really felt he fought the fight he needed to fight, that he'd end up doing whatever was necessary to back the best outcome possible.

25. Well, that to me is the best assessment I've
heard of Kucinich. I'm not a Kucinich lover or hater but I can't imagine that this wasn't hard for him to do. And I thank him.

26. Thank you....known him since I was a schoolgirl in the 70s. And before that, my aunt was one of his
caregivers when he lived at the orphanage she ran in the Cleveland area. Yeah....I let everyone have their opinion one way or another, but, I don't think many 'get' him with as clear an understanding - I used to argue with my feminist friends in LA throughout the 90s because I supported 'that DINO' Kucinich. Heh....DK was considered a centrist Dem back then, but, I always trusted he had a liberal heart and it would become apparent one day.

in Ohio yesterday would NOT have happened, and that speech has turned into the game changer for just enough citizens to make the difference in public perception.

Heads must be exploding over at FDL. They'll be asking for all that money they raised for him in the last few days to be returned.

14. All that spewing and puking on Kucinich seems sort of silly now
does it not? But the ravers and ranters play their part, unaware as they are. It has been fun watching the frothing at the mouth and falling over backwards on the part of those predisposed to dislike Kucinich for his pro equality stand and other liberal views. The same old few, doing the same old spew. Thanks for the laughs, each and every one of you. It was the best.
Anyone still planning to 'table against Kucinich' this summer? How about all those people who actually said they preferred the Republican in his district? All of that over a tactic. Hilarious! Such strong Democrats, setting up for the GOP because of a no vote never cast. That was never going to be cast.

22. Just holding his feet to the fire...
like so many here like to call it when it's directed towards Obama. You're assuming he would've came to this decision without the anger. Do you think Dennis is above reproach?

17. Moore and Kucinich have the exact same goals
Moore wanted a better bill. Both of them have made sure the entire Congress is on record many times saying it has to be fixed, needs fixing, will be improved.
Attacking good Democrats is what Republicans do. So stow it. Or back up your assertions. Show a link to Mike saying 'kill the bill' rather than improve it. A recent one, about this bill and this time. Everyone knows that Mike is a single payer proponent, as many others are. So everyone knows this is not the bill he wanted, but you know, I have yet to hear even one politician stand up and say that they actually like this bill as it stands, without future fixes or expansions, not one unqualified endorsement. When they qualify their support, they are speaking more mildly than, but saying the exact same thing as both Moore and Kucinich.
Not one of them is willing to say 'this is the bill I wanted'. Not one. How about your Rep and Senators, are they claiming they adore this bill as written? Show us a quote.

27. I and many others here have said for months that this bill
isn't perfect. There will never be a perfect bill. We have said numerous times that we will have to work to improve it. What pissed me off about Kucinich is that he was willing to destroy what good there is in this bill because it did not pass his purity filter. This "all or nothing" bullshit is what others and I here have been fighting against.

You are right. I will attack a democrat if they don't support our agendas. I don't care who they are.

28. Moore is literally at the indifference point, IMO
On his post at DailyKos today he basically trashed the bill and then said vote for it. Which means that he's come around to the conclusion many of us came to months ago, which is that right now we're simply not going to get anything better.

16. Inspiring
Obviously, these two (Obama and Kucinich) can still connect, and Dennis trusts Obama to take further steps down the road. There's no acceptable alternative right now if you are truly for reform.

18. The Drama Box Club forgets the recent past
They rave about the fact the Kucinich ran for President. They forget the fact that he was the first to drop out, in NH, and that he said he wanted his supporters to vote for Obama. This was while the rest of them were still Obama's opponents, Biden, Dodd, Clinton. I doubt very much that President Obama forgot that. He's a politician after all.

20. I remember when Obama was on Letterman early on and he was asked about Kucinich
this after Obama said something like, "we have a great field of candidates." Letterman immediately pounced and said, "Even Kucinich?," who he was always making fun of. Instead of going for the cheap laugh, Obama ran the risk of appearing slightly dull and gave a very respectful answer, along the lines of Dennis having a "devil may care" attitude as a candidate, and how that was ultimately very healthy for the whole field.

These two were never enemies.
