Okay guys, I did A LOT of work on this--could we use it? Please rec. it too.
I have taken the list from the NYT today on Dems who voted no first round and gotten all the contact information (below). Please use it, please email it and pass it along, but most of all please contact them.

Most of these Dems face no challenge in a general election AND STILL voted no. Tell them you would love to contribute to a primary challenger if they block this legislation. By the way, I discovered it is very hard to use emails because congressmen no tend to screen out non district residents (even though we STILL can give money to their primary opponents). I have tried to be accurate but I apologize for any inaccuracies.

The list:

The following Democrats voted no on the first health care bill. I have included information to contact them plus a little information about their likely fate in November.

Allen Boyd—Florida’s 2nd District
Although McCain won his district NYT rates his district in November as solid Dem, meaning his only competition would be a primary.

Contact info:

1227 Longworth HOB
Washington, DC 20515
(202) 225-5235
(202) 225-5615 Fax

John Adler—New Jersey’s 3rd District
Obama won his district and NYT rates his district as “leaning Dem,” meaning likely competition only from primary

Contact Info:

1223 Longworth HOB
Washington, D.C. 20515
Phone: (202) 225-4765
Fax: (202) 225-0778

Link for email: <http://forms.house.gov/adler/webforms/issue_subscribe.htm>

Jason Altimire—Virginia’s 4th District
Although McCain won his district, NYT is rating his district as “likely Dem,” meaning he would only face primary challenges from Dems.

332 Cannon House Office Building
Washington, DC 20515
202-225-2565
202-226-2274(fax)

Brian Baird—Washington’s 3rd District
Even though Obama won this district, NYT calls this seat as a tossup for November

2350 Rayburn House Office Building
Washington, DC 20515
Phone: (202) 225-3536
Fax: (202) 225-3478

Link for email: <https://forms.house.gov/baird/webforms/issue_subscribe.htm>

John Barrow—Georgia’s 12th District
Obama won this district and NYT calls it leaning Dem (meaning there seems little political risk in changing from no to yes). Only would face a primary challenge.

213 Cannon HOB
Washington, DC 20515
p: (202) 225-2823
f: (202) 225-3377 13 Cannon HOB

John Boccieri—Ohio’s 16th District
Although McCain won this district the NYT calls it “leaning Dem” for November.

1516 Longworth HOB
Washington, DC 20515
(202) 225-3876

Link for email: <http://forms.house.gov/boccieri/webforms/casework-form.shtml>

Rick Boucher—Virginia’s 9th District
Although McCain won this district the NYT calls the seat “leaning Dem” for November

Washington, D.C. 20515
202-225-3861
202-225-0442(fax)

Lincoln Davis—Tennessee’s 4th District
Although McCain won this district, NYT ranks Boucher’s seat as “leaning Dem” for November

Bart Gorden—Tennessee’s 6th District
Representative Gordon is not seeking reelection and the NYT ranks the seat as a likely Rep pickup, so there is not a lot of leverage either way here.

2306 Rayburn HOB
Washington, D.C. 20515
(202) 225-4231

Link for Email: <http://gordon.house.gov/contact/contact_form.shtml>

Suzanne Kosmas—Florida’s 24th District
McCain won Kosmas’ district but the NYT shows her district “leaning Dem.”

Washington, D.C. 20515
Phone: (202) 225-2706
Fax: (202) 226-6299

Link for email: <https://forms.house.gov/kosmas/webforms/contact.html>

Betsy Markey—Colorado 4th District
McCain won this district and the NYT is calling this seat a tossup in November. A yes vote for her is probably quite risky.

1229 Longworth Building
Washington, DC 20515
p. 202.225.4676
f. 202.225.5870

I believe Markey has a website contact form that tries for filter out non-residents of the district from commenting (which many do have). Phone contact might be the only method to have an impact.

Jim Matheson—Utah’s second

Although McCain won Matheson’s district the NYT rates the seat “solid Dem.” There will be no risk for Matheson except in a primary election by another Dem.

Washington, DC 20515
Phone - (202) 225-3011
Fax - (202) 225-5638

Scott Murphy—NY 20th District
Obama won Murphy’s district and NYT rates it as “likely Dem”

Phone: (202) 225-5614
Fax: (202) 225-1168

Glenn Nye—Virginia’s 2nd District
Although Obama won this district the NYT is rating the seat as a tossup
116 Cannon HOB
Washington, D.C. 20515
Phone: (202) 225-4215
Fax: (202) 225-4218

Link for email: Is screened to only accept emails from residents of the 2nd district.

John Tanner—Tennessee’s 8th District
McCain won this district and the NYT is rating this seat a tossup. A yes vote, considering the location of the district, would probably be a very high risk vote for Tanner.

Harry Teague—New Mexico’s 2nd District
McCain won Teague’s district and the NYT is rating this district as a tossup, a yes vote could be a very high risk come the general election for Teague.

6. Congressman Daniel Lipinski (D- IL 3rd) Is Leaning No This Time Around.......
please include him on this list.

His contact info is:

Daniel Lipinski - D - Illinois 3rd District
Lipinski is support Stupak - need I say more
Washinton D.C. Office
1717 Longworth Office Building
Phone: 1-202-225-5701
Fax: 1-202-225-1012
Website: www.lipinski.house.gov
His Chief of Staff is: Jason Tai
E-mail: jason.tai@mail.house.gov

The Catholic Hospital Association and Catholic Nuns have both come out in favor of passage of this bill. Neither Stupak or Lipinski or their ilk can still hide behind the abortion issue to vote no. That is just their excuse to vote no to favor the insurance industry. They can't use abortion for political cover with the nuns and catholic hospital group supporting Obama and passage. Call them on this.

Don't forget contacting Stupak as well.

13. Still getting calls from both sides here
in Western Cook County. Had a nasty robo call on the machine when I returned home this afternoon. Then about an hour later, I got a live call that was hesitant to tell me who she was calling on behalf of. Ended up being Organizing for America and I told her I already had contacted Cong. Lipinski. She said to expect lots of calls because Dan still hadn't "made up his mind". Ugh!

15. This Lipinski Is A Total Joke - Hasn't Made Up His Mind Yet?.......
How long has this debate been going on - and he hasn't made up his mind. What is he waiting for? Why is he so indecisive? In my mind anyone who hasn't made up their mind on such a historic piece of legislation - is not fit to be in Congress.

We need to vote this guy out of office and put him on the unemployment roles. Next time up - he needs a strong primary challenger. The only reason he continues to get re-elected is that most people still think they are voting for his 'daddy'.

The 'ski' in his name also helps as he has a lot of Poles in his district. I'm one of them - but I think this guy is a total fraud.

9. thank you for this key information
thank you so much for taking the time to post this information. I will be sending a faxed letter with a copy via snail mail to each representative mentioned above. I'm hopeful that our TN reps will be willing to consider a YES vote - especially Bart Gordon and John Tanner, who are not running again. Great Work!! Hannah... P.S. - you may want to consider heading this message as "Key reps to contact for HCR"

12. Boyd in FL 2
This district includes most of Tallahassee. Boyd used to be my rep there. The indexes I have seen ranking representatives on a conservative-liberal scale had him as one of the most conservative dems in Congress. Been a long time since I looked at one of those indexes though, so I am not sure how he rates these days. I can say that it was odd coming from the Missouri 7th (Roy Blunt, ugh), first time I went to vote in Florida, that there was not a Republican challenger. Indeed, it was in researching him years ago, that I learned the term "Blue Dog Democrat," which Boyd unabashedly calls himself. Call him, "lobby" him as a democrat to vote "yes" please, but don't expect Boyd to budge much.

Personally I don't think we can stand another 15 years like this, and at a minimum that is what will happen if this goes down. Ask yourself this: How bad can it be if every single repubilcan is against it?

34. Hate to say this, but . . .
. . . the train's left the station! Look, I don't want a "public option" -- I want full medical socialism!!! Like the British National Health Service! But if this bill doesn't pass there's not going to be any serious effort at health care reform for a decade or more -- the politicians will be too scared to touch it. This may uncork the bottle for more progress in the future.
