8. I suspect that he is joking - if the Republicans will not confirm her
for this job, they certainly will not confirm her for the USSC. I wish Obama would have recess appointed her, though that would not keep her there for long.

13. So it doesn't matter.
He might be joking. But it might be a reality. None of us know.

4. That is too bad..I hope
Dawn Johnsen goes on to get an excellent job and someone worthy gets confirmed to the Office Of Legal Counsel.

6. Why are the withdraws always the very little Progressives remaining?
I notice that it is always people who tend to be more progressives. I understand the GOP would focus on that but i would imagine these progressives would know that and just hang in there...ah well...I understand America loves right corporate beliefs but wow.

7. If we can't make this happen,
we don't stand much of a chance for a decent SC nominee. I predict middle of the road nominee, someone not as liberal or progressive as the judge he or she replaces. The end result will be a more conservative court.

9. One more reason to nominate a STRONG LIBERAL SCOTUS justice!
We need frickin' progressive BALANCE to support the political perspective of 60% of this country that is UNrepresented now in this administration!

10. This is the time for Dems to stop rolling over and playing dead.
For the love of God, we need to get people who are willing to fight back against the RNC and mean it.

11. Correction: Another nominee withdraws because of the President of "Ok, if you say so."

14. No, it's not due to "the party of NO" but the present INACTION of "the party of CENTRISM."
If President Obama wanted to push certain nominees through without debate, he'd wait and do a recess appointment.

Understood! The GOP is INSANE, however, you can't blame every damn thing on them ALONE.
