Has POLITICO become a right wing site?
I remember back during the 2008 campaign it seemed Politico was a left leaning site. Now a days it seems to be eager to publish anti Obama hit pieces, and they have just abot promoted the tea baggers.

Another so called "non partisan" site that seems to lean big right now is realclearpolitics.com, They exclude polls that seem more favorable to Democrats. Realclearpolitics loves Rasmussein. They seem to link mostly to right wing columnist, and tje "Liberals" are mostly DLC types.

6. Politico had a winner of the week during the 08 campaign
They awarded the prize to McCain one week when everything went well for Obama and not so well for McCain as I remember

9. Become?
Become?

Another reason why I laugh at the occasional Tweety worship here on DU was the day "Politico" launched.
It was one of those days when Tweety was on during the morning and early afternoon shift and I don't recall what was going on that day that MSNBC was using him out of his normal time slot.

Tweety was popping in his trousers, effusive in his praise for "Politico" and gushing platitudes for that right wing hand job that runs the operation. Mike Allen?
WTF is his name, can't recall.

At the end of the segment Tweety damned near needed a wet wipe to clean himself, I swear.

"It's such a great thing" he said, and that "Politico" would "change news and make news" and I swear he had a tent in his pants.
Just like the foreplay session with Tom Delay, and the full on man on chimp love with Bush and his "flight-suit" codpiece.

Look, the next time a liberal left leaning so called "legitimate" news outlet launches please let me know, because the next time will be the first time.

ALL BROADCAST AND CABLE TELEVISION IS RIGHT WING, ALWAYS. NEVER IS THERE A DEVIATION TO THAT PREMISE.
And no, "Current" does not count.

Become?

Frederick J. Ryan Jr., former Assistant to President Ronald Reagan, and currently chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library Foundation, is president and CEO of Politico. The connections between Politico's leadership and conservative and Republican party establishment has led to accusations of conservative bias.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Politico_%28newspaper%29

For those that don't know, Real Clear Politics is also run and owned by conservatives.

That's been my motto for a while.
I don't link to Politico, I don't go to Politico,
I don't read Politico, and I don't believe Politico.

In otherwords, I don't support Politico in anyway.

Oh...and FUCK POLITICO!

22. Ummm....I'm not sure what site you were reading doing 2008 but
It was always a right leaning site. I remember reading it for the first time back during the middle of the primaries without having heard anything about it previously and immediately discounting it as a serious source of journalism because of its clear right wing bias

24. Politico is a political tabloid akin to the National Enquirer
Politico was probably more balanced when they started, but in
the 2008 election, they definitely moved right.

Once Obama entered office, Politico became a subsidiary of
Rupert Murdock. They deal more in sleaze than anything else.

I removed them from my favorites in 2008.

RealClear Politics is the same. They at one time presented
balanced stories and data, but today, they lean more toward
the Tea Party fringe. I never read much there anyway, but I
did look.

The only way to put a dent into these sites is to avoid them.
If people avoid them en masse, and make it clear that they are
doing so, then you might see a change. Do not bet on it.

by fall of 2006.

So...when did you first take notice of Politico and how did you not notice it's RW bias till now?

They came out of nowhere to co-sponsor the 2008 GOP debates, and Bush himself wished them well.

My personal nickname for them is "Politics' answer to TMZ."

Same thing with RealClearPolitics: loved their polling data, avoided their stories.
