Poll question: How many gulf war vets or active duty are there at DU?
Did you serve in Iraq and /or Afghanistan or in this conflict in support capacity nearby?

What do you think of the escalation proposed by Obama?

Please, if you feel conmfortable, explain your reasoning.

I marched with IVAW in Denver when Obama was nominated and NO ONE has a more important perspective than those who actually served and sacrificed in these conflicts.

We need to hear from you/

Plus if you have family in the conflicts or who are vets, let us know, if you can, their perspective.

If your answer is not easily black and white as in this poll, give us some insight on your perspective.

2. I'm an "Other" with a Naval Expeditionary Ribbon for service during the Iranian Hostage Crisis.
I have always been opposed to the Iraqi Conflict, but have supported going in to Afghanistan to destroy or disable Bin Laden and his operations. I think there is still a little more we can do in that regard, since the previous administration used Bin Laden and Afghanistan as a cover for a wider acquisition and not as a primary target.

3. Retired Navy nurse.
Career spanned Viet Nam through first Gulf War. I was not "in country" either time, but took care of lots of vets. Having seen the broken bodies/minds/lives that result from war, I'm very much against escalation.
