Lummis enjoys comfortable lead in race (WY)
CHEYENNE — Republican U.S. Rep. Cynthia Lummis has a strong lead over Democratic challenger David Wendt in the general election, according to a recent Casper Star-Tribune poll.

If the general election for the U.S. House were held today, 59 percent of Wyoming voters would vote for Lummis while 29 percent would support Wendt, a Jackson businessman, according to the poll. Twelve percent of voters were undecided.

Wyoming voters gave Lummis a 50 percent approval rating, with 13 percent rating her job performance as excellent and 37 percent as good. The one-term congresswoman received a fair grade from 19 percent and was rated poor by 25 percent, with 6 percent undecided.

The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percent.
