I knew it would be ugly, but since when do Jesus Freak theocrats think that lying is OK if it fills your self-loathing and/or that a hate injection in their soul is good for them?

Granted, hate is good for business with these people. Ignorance too. The fucking checks just roll in.

So I looked at the web site. As a web developer myself, I thought I'd check out where these people are from:

National Organization for Marriage
Brian S. Brown
20 Nassau Street
Princeton
New Jersey
08542
1.6096880450

So who is Brian Brown, you may ask? It's funny, because the ad he produced i on Crooks and Liars: "David Shuster exposed the distortions being used by NOM's Brian S. Brown over the issue of gay marriage.":

http://crooksandliars.com/john-amato/daivd-schuster-destroys-noms-brian-s-br

So the talking points from this asshat Brian Brown and his web site... some classics besides the usual non-provable claptrap:

Marriage is about bringing together men and women so children can have mothers and fathers.

High rates of divorce are one more reason we should be strengthening marriage, not conducting radical social experiments on it.

Two men might each be a good father, but neither can be a mom. The ideal for children is the love of their own mom and dad. No same-sex couple can provide that.

Every man and woman who marries is capable of giving any child they create (or adopt) a mother and a father. No same-sex couple can do this. It’s apples and orange.

http://www.nationformarriage.org/site/c.omL2KeN0LzH/b.4475595/k.566A/Marriage_Talking_Points.htm

So essentially, marriage is about procreation. If a marriage doesn't produce offspring, it's invalid? Divorce is somehow a reason why any marriage with others can't happen? The ideal of a mom and dad certainly would make single parents less than parents? Should those who adopted children and are in a same-sex relationship be told they are not "capable"?

So NOM has Carrie Prejean as their pretty spokes-sockpuppet. Here's a great analysis of the filth from their cult little ad:
http://www.rightwingwatch.org/content/nice-try-nom

Hopefully all this nonsense will be utterly meaningless in a year or two when the Supreme Court has to make equal rights for all law of the land.
