3. no one here at DU has been shit on -even remotely
but they have convinced themselves that they have, because it's such a great excuse to carry on like a bunch of martyrs.

just like when Rahm Emmanuel called a commercial retarded and everyone decided that he meant all Liberals were retarded. Totally self-absorbed, self-important BS.

It's people bullshitting themselves because they can't figure out anything better to do.

5. Ah hell, DU has been like this for a few years
Let me see, should we vote for Kerry, who won the nomination, or Dean, who a lot of folks liked and still do? Ok, fast forward to 2008. "Hillary!". No! "Obama!" Or better yet, Kucinich! Even though he had no real chance of ever winning any national election and likely never will.
Well, Obama wins the nomination after much hand wringing in DU, if not the real world. Ok, we'll support Obama. But wait! That intelligent, non confrontational guy isn't straightening out at least 8 years of all the corporate shit that has been going on fast enough. So he must stink too!
See, if a guy doesn't meet some DU members of absolute liberalism, then he stinks. Just keep on thinking for yourself and you'll be ok. And I suspect that in the end, you'll vote for the Democratic candidate. And if I'm wrong, well, I'll survive. Will you?

6. Yup, this is how it is...
Always has been, always will be - not just here but on any political forum.

New people think it's a big deal, but these things always fade. At the end of the day, we're all on the same team. Fighting amongst friends and family is a normal part of life.
