I know it's not "enough," but that's all we get.

1. Geeeee where's Bonehead, Bachmann and all the republicans
and their families. After all, remember the states effected by the oil spill are ALL RED STATES. You would think they would want to spend their vacations there so the public would join in......

6. They're busy thinking of a way to
attack him for going down there, I'm sure.

2. So that explains the "Keep your shirt on" announcement.
That is, I had heard the president wasn't going to appear shirtless before the journalistic hordes. Yet news headlines revealed he had gone swimming in the ocean. Did he go in in jams and a t-shirt? The picture reveals all -- or, rather, doesn't reveal all, which is fine and explains things.

7. Yup...
all of the reporters were asking if he'd go swimming. Obama told Ed Henry the press would not get another pic of him shirtless since it made the front page of every news source. I'm glad the WH just put out this one pic of him in the water.

8. I agree.
:D But the press would find some way to turn it into a negative if he did.

4. Whenever he is around children (especially his own) he looks SO happy
It must be what keeps him young.

5. And the children, including perfect strangers, reciprocate.
I once had a collection of images making that very point, a few of the children RADIANT with glee. That well known photon of Bush and that crying kiddie may have been cherry-picked, but I recall no "upbeat" photos of him and children.

9. It's so great to see all of the kids looking at him,
hugging him, etc. It's really touching.

They sense evil.

13. According to our local paper, it was the St. Andrew's Bay
and not the Gulf. There were double-red flag surf conditions yesterday. And they were staying at a resort on the bay so I'm not surprised they did not get in the Gulf.

Bay County certainly has interesting politics, at the same time, it is a truly beautiful place.
