Barnes’ first ad of general election pops Deal on ethics
With the general election match-up now set, Democratic gubernatorial nominee Roy Barnes has wasted no time in taking the fight to the Republicans.

In a new ad released Friday, the first of the general election campaign, Barnes calls attention to Republican Nathan Deal’s record on ethics.

The ad is similar to one released Tuesday, when voters were choosing the Republican nominee, but with a few major differences. At the end, it’s Deal that’s the focus.

In the new ad, the narrator says: “This great state is falling behind. Do we continue down the same path, with Nathan Deal who is distracted with ethical charges while teachers were furloughed, tax breaks given to special interests, homes foreclosed, priorities confused and our jobs lost. This election is not about political parties. It’s a choice between the distractions of Nathan Deal’s ethical questions and Roy Barnes who is trained and ready for the job. Nathan Deal – Just More of the Same.”
